I think that LFS cars need a complete steering system, not only the wheel. It's on all cars. See the pics

OT: this is another 'Who is......' thread IF YOU DONT LABEL YOUR SUGGESTION NO ONE WILL KNOW WHAT ITS ABOUT BEFORE THEY GO IN??? chances are they will not, next time why not give your thread an informative title to what the contents are about?

+1 for full steering system representaion, why not

the only reason its not there is because its just more polys which.. dont matter

but because they would be hidden behind the wheel otherwise, i say +1 just for people that look at the game from a graphics perspective, because it makes the game look "cheap" .. i guess, incomplete would be a better word

Quick fix would be a small rod behind the steering wheel, but it would only help when the car is not damaged. Anyway this is just one of those things not very high on the priority list.

what about the actual mechanics underneath the car? (steering mechanism, suspension, drivetrain and so on...)

waste of time and a waste of polys (even though you'd never see them)

i suggested a texture not to long ago, and i hope it gets the go

The reason they aren't there atm is probably three fold:

1) Waste of time/polys

2) Could poke through with damage type issues

3) It looks daft if you disable the steering wheel, the Papy sims always looked rather awkward with a random steering column not connected to anything when you chose to hide the wheel (like I do).

its more of a .. outside view thing than it is from the driving point of view

its just one of those picky things that i believe ought to be done at some point in time
