S2 license questions
Hi, I'm near to my final decision of purchasing an S2 license (my christmas present for myself) and I wanted to ask some questions before i take the final step.

I've been around for about a month or so since I installed the demo version, and my times have improved very quickly to the actual 1:33.53. However, I'm finding very hard to control the rwd cars, although I'm beginning to handle the XRG, the XRT is still far away from being under control.

1. I have the money to purchase a license, that's no problem, but I don't have money for a good steering wheel, so I'd keep racing with my mouse/keyboard configuration. I want to ask if the more powerful fwd and 4wd cars can be handled -to a reasonable good pace- with mouse/kb, or even if a setup for rwd cars that would avoid oversteering would make the trick for me.

2. I'd also like to know if there are leagues in which you can drive without being a pro or being part of a team, which would be my case as I won't have so much time to practice, but I really like racing

3. I also have questions about the unlocking rules listed in the website. It says that you can unlock two computers for your own use or LAN playing. I don't know how it works, but i guess it shouldn't be possible to be playing online with both computers then, am i right?

4. And the last question is about the "manual". Does it reallly exist? I mean... I've seen the one in the web but it looks there's a certain lack of information about some things there. For example it took me a while to figure out how to fast forward and rewind in replays, and I still don't know if I can pause them. Where is all the information about those kinds of things?

1. Yup, you can drive fairly quick with a mouse

2. Yes, you can

3. No, only one online at a time

4. Pause - "p" Fastforward "F2"/"F3"

You cant rewind replays
Welcome

1. With practise almost all cars are possible, it's not easy but as you have already started with kb/mouse it could be easy for you.
2. There is, The Original LFS League (OLFSL) for example is very noob friendly-
3. Yes, you can't use both of them online at the same time.
4. Hmmm...I suppose someone should add key mappings to wiki. But you can pause the replays with the pause button, P that it

edit. blah, beaten...

I realized after posting that it's not rewinding what I wanted to say, but slowing down the playback rate I didn't know 'p' was used for pause, thanks.

Now I think my main problem will be creating a paypal account and that stuff...

PS: Hey, I know you, you're Green from the STCC, right? I love those broadcasts!

yup thats me!
Plenty of fast keyboarders out there.

And if you are looking for a league that caters for all standards see http://www.owrl.de/news.php

There are always around 60 entrants so at least 3 Div B grids. The grids are based on your PBs/Hotlaps to it doesn't matter how fast (or slow) you are, you will always get close racing.
