I've been doing a few Hotlaps in the FZR at SO City Classic recently.

I'm doing 42's most of the time and pull out a kamikaze high 1's every now and then. But that is just it, I can't get the speed through the blind S section like some of the other guys ahead of me in the hotlap ladder.

This is my current best Hot Lap, a 41.74

When I look at the lap using F1PerView the place I am slower than those quicker than me is through those S's, but I just can't get the car to hook up if I go in any faster.

Any tips on how to get through that section a few KM's faster ? I've chased the setup from here to timbucktoo and back.

So city is Rough. When I was making sets for So city I always started by softening the suspension and raising the ride height. I felt the car was riding the end stops and unsettling over the really rough stuff.

But then I wasn't a hotlappe so maybe I'm not the best person to answer your quiries . .
Yeah I went through the soft setup stage, and the car feels more stable over bumps and can ride over the ripple strips easily when it is higher and softer. but feels less stable under brakes and I found better lap times with a low, stiff setup.

Technically though, yes, I need more travel in the suspension as it is often at full travel.
Prehaps as you are doing the shorter sprint circuits more downforce would help you . . . .

Apologies for not looking at the replay but I'm at work kinda..

One thing I look at when I'm not sure what is costing me time is the Yaw figures in F1PerfView. If when you go through the esses you are getting large negative values for yaw then try changing the balance of the setup so it oversteers less. Conversely, if the yaw figures are positive you are understeering there and losing time like that and need more oversteer.
ok, I'll look into that and I'll revisit a softer / higher setup with more downforce and see if that can get me through that section faster ... without pulling time out of other sections.

What kind of tyre pressure / camber are others using ? I found about 20 PSI with 3 - 3.5 Deg Neg on the front works well (for hotlapping) and about 2 deg in the rear with about 20 PSI also.
