The online racing simulator
Countersteer Assist
Hello, I just bought the LFS S3 license and started drifting after drifting Assetto Corsa for 3 days with my Logitech Pro wheel, pedals and shifter setup. I just got the hang of it in AC but it is still very hard and requires a lot of concentration and synchronization. My question is: Does LFS have some kind of assist for counter steering? It feels like the wheel always countersteers perfectly to catch a slide, it's impossible to spin the car out where in AC the smallest mistake sends you into a spin. Any response is appreciated. Thank you
This is not the same physic, you can adjust the force feedback, strenght, etc... I drive without help, this is a racing simulation software, not a "game" for me.

Hello, thank you for your response, I have 900° of rotation an 7nm force set in G Hub and in game the standard settings are 900° rotation, 0.60 wheel turn compensation which I don't know what it means and 25 force strength which I also don't know if it's accurate because it feels like max force feedback. It feels odd that the car almost drives itself perfectly. If anyone uses the same wheel and wants to share their settings it would be appreciated. Thank you
depends on the cars you use both in AC and LFS. Same could easily be said if you compare different cars, like for example DTP cars in AC drive themselves.

Try drifting the default cars such as XRT and FZ5 or something not fully meant for the purpose, they provide a bit more challenge than mods with 60 degree steering locks specifically made for drifting.

It's not that difficult to drift in real life, either. You would have the same effect of car steering itself, if you remove the power steering Big grin
You can check the clipping rotation at the bottom right, when you rotate there is a bar, yellow is correct, red is ffb clipping Wink
