Quote from _Rob_ :Nice, good price for that! Building a turbo mk1 with a friend atm, also using Reverant ms2... when it eventually arrives.. been waiting about 2 months! What turbo is on yours?

i found an ecu second hand that was unused for £500 including a bmw vtps that i've yet to install, it's running a t28

Picked up a mk1 1.6 turbo mx5 couple of weeks ago, won it on ebay for £1200 and was running a flyin miata voodoo box and msd sebring ignition controller but have now got it running on a Reverant MSlabs Megasquirt2, just awaiting on some injectors and intercooler before i turn the boost up and aim for 250whp currently it's running about 8 psi and is roughly 160bhp

Went and picked up an lpg tank this morning, 90L one which slots in the boot quite nicely.

And here are some pictures of the car i took recently

Went and picked this beast up a few weeks ago

4 litre v8, insane build quality and stupidly comfortable.

Purchased an LPG kit and then over winter i'll be building a turbo'd and manual converted 1uz to drop into it

Quote from Tinytacohead :Good deal! (well, other than what looks to be a stylie bar )

yeah that's being replaced by a tr lane roll bar with harness bar so i can fit buckets and harnesses properly, also got a decat and central locking to fit

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :I've seen a lot of these things round here recently. Are they as fun to chuck around as they look? Or is it just a shopping trolley with factory fit rice?

it's really fun, nothing like the standard ignis, comes with stiffer springs, shorter ratio box, nicer induction noise and a freer flowing exhaust system, i absolutely love it

got it all leveled out now and got the damping somewhere near perfect, just hadn't had chance to take pictures since i've been out driving it all day, it is still quite low but doesn't run out of travel and doesn't scrape on roads, just on speedbumps

Quote from Tinytacohead :Nothing too interesting here, but soo much better than Mk.1's! (and I got rid of all my door rattles, lol) While this shot doesn't show much of the factory tan, as seen by the edge of the dash, the dye job is spot-on. (they were originally the really light Mk.II tan) I'm not 100% happy with the quality of the black inserts, but they were freebies from some black panels & I like the contrast better than leaving them stock/tan. Eventually they'll get re-covered, maybe in perforated black leather and/or have the M-Edition logo embroidered in the center. (in blue, to match the OEM headrests) Installed @ the same time were some 7" Kenwood Excelon components, (eventually they'll get amped), and an OEM DRL module from a Canadian spec Mk.1. Hopefully next in line is a full respray, (sticking with the factory Starlight Mica Blue), and then on to some coldside MP62 fun!

EDIT - oh yea, I also installed some new interior lighting.. considering how silly the sun visors are, I removed them & plugged the holes with some LED's, as well as stuck a matching LED dome bulb in and an LED in each inner/lower factory light blank. (all wired to the dome control, so they operate like stock/when the doors are opened etc) MEGA improvement over OEM & of course much lower current draw

that doorcard looks really good, adds a touch of class

no there's a socket set, jack, manifold and down pipe and all my uni stuff. but the suspension still isn't set up properly so i'll adjust it properly after work tomorrow, going to put the front down to the same level as the back

Quote from doyal :Elise seats? I was going to do that to mine. Sourced some from a breaker but the blood on the seat put me off! (car must have been in a bad smash )

I was going to post this in a month or so, once I had changed a few bits.. but my bmw 5 series project! Will be getting a cage and a few more bits in the coming months, then a summer of track days, hopefully

Quote from Tinytacohead :Good deal. Leaving the spokes black? (thought the grey/green combo of your last set was great)

Spokes will most likely be going grey again, and i'll polish the lips up

Quote from Tinytacohead :

Here's a bad pic of the back of my Tamiya rim. I realize it's likely not helpful for modification of yours, but there's a chance Tamiya and/or another manufacturer makes your rim with a similar spoke design..

i may actually just create fins on the current wheels but not really been needing the bents recently so not been an issue

Started my watanabe wheel refurb today
