Well you kinda have to download the profiler anyways.

Whats hard about setting a keystroke within the profiler? The game already has keystrokes assigned i.e 7,8,9,0 and can not be remapped, So you have to set 7 8 9 0 to wheel buttons with in the profiler.

Not everyone can use a ctrl function while driving, While your way may be good for PB's and WR's, Setting 7 8 9 0 to the shifter unit's D-pad and the letter D to both wheel shifters is easier from the profiler, Then you don't have to set anything in game.

I'd have to say that baSh0r's way would be easier.
I used the shifter unit D-pad as my Indicators, 7 [Left] 8 [Right] 9 [Hazards on] 0 [Hazards off], The same way I set the wheel shifters both to the letter D [Handbrake]

I think this is how baSh0r is suggesting, That link only seems to tell you about the software

Open profiler from specific game/ Right click wheel a button/ Then select "New keystroke" [Or what you need from list]

In LFS I do too [Haven't tried in rFactor] But even without the footbrake pressed the front tyre should still "Bite" the tarmac while parked

I've always had this problem with LFS and G25, While trying to get it working NicoCrack for reasons only known to him sent the RealFeel plug-in for rFactor where it dose make it better, It felt exactly the same as LFS [After messing with .INI file, Therefore making it not compabitle if I had to do that] Yet when I'm sat at the line on TOCA Race Driver3 and Porject Torque I can feel the tyre bitting the tarmac when I turn the wheel

Haven't noticed wheel wobble on striaghts in rFactor, Isn't that to do with setting the Overal strengh in the profiler to between 101% and 105%?

I've had the Center Spring ticked and unticked, Dosen't seem to be any differnt, Same with have the profiler running or not, I've even tried both sets of wheel drivers and the only differnce is that the drivers on the site let you asign mouse click to wheel button, Where as the CD drivers don't

Well come on guys, Simple questin, Is your G25's easy to turn when parked on level ground? If it is your force feedback is WRONG.

I only have two things left it could be.
1/ Your all using the wrong settings [Then whats the point of playing a simulation?]
OR
2/ Your all doing something that your not telling me [I've done everything people have told me exactly to the letter and its still no better]

All I've wanted to do for six months is play Live4Speed, Even in rFactor feels like there is no grip, Not that its compatible with the G25 is it? Cause you have to add a plug-in and change an .INI file.

I don't care about double posting, I just want to play

Thanks, i've tried that but unfortunately it didn't help.I have had the Wheel turn compensation turned up and down and the in game forcefeed back which doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Btw does anyone find it easy to turn the wheel when stationary on level ground? Because I have that and I know that to be wrong from sitting in real cars.

G25 steering issues.

I am having difficutly feeling grip on corners in the game. I have had this problem since buying a Logitech G25 Steering Wheel, as shown below my settings seem to be fine. I have asked various people and they have confirmed this.
I go onto the track and while sat still with the hand brake on the wheel is really easy to turn when it shouldn't be and is really hard to turn when i start to drive, when hitting a corner, where i can normally feel the car turning against the wheel to counterseer or balance it out. I seem to have no sense of grip on the wheel because the car should be turning the wheel but it feels the other way round, all i can feel is one amount of force and cannot differentiate any other force levels within it. Nothing to tell me if the car is going to oversteer or understeer which throws me off the track. Anyone have any ideas cause i am all out of them.I have tried all kinds of cars and set-ups, front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, offroad and on road.

Just thought I would update you all, I have noticed a vast improvment in playiblity, But its still not seeming to let me drift fully, Mainly between the apex and the exit, The car feels like it gives up the drift, I know I need to start getting use to the wheel now, Theres just something that dosen't quite feel right and I'm not sure if I am feeling the grip correctly, Other than that, I took my FZR for a cruise at [LTC]2 Was kinda twitchy and abit heavy in places but it still was a blast, I think I may need someone to help me with heel-toe and stuff, Cause I'm trying it but I dunno how its extacly ment to help, Normaly I use both my left and right foot to brake

I think to round off the GTR's maybe with the XRR rip out that weak turbo and super charge it ^.^, And or maybe something in a mid engined rear drive, Like a big RAC or something

Just wanna thank all again for their time, Hopefuly it should take long to fine turn it and be used to it within the time it took to setup

Quote from TAYLOR-MANIA : I myself have posted here 3 or 4 times now & I even sent you a lengthy PM trying to help you further.

you must think I like post here every 20 minutes while NOT play LFS, Well I don't, I shouldn't of need to post once, But nothing anyone has said while in an online room works, Again with and without profiler [Doing exactly tha same as you all] All I've gotten the profiler to do I be able to set both my Wheel Padels to keystroke down D, The hand brake

Yes very good Taylor, But you have not even tried reading my posts fully, Or you would of know I didn't have DXTweak2 installed and why did you say "**** it then"? in the second PM Thats not very helpful is it now with your "Blah Blah Yawn parts" attitude, That is where the infomation is that your not reading, So you knew nothing in that first paragraph, Did you Taylor?
And I did everything in your PM, So what am I ment to do? Seriously what could possible be left to overlook when I have down EXACTLY what is in this post to the letter

Anyways, My setup screens can not be anymore the same as I have been told, Yet the counter steer still dosen't do anything to the car untill its to late, Any car with any types, The tail step out less than a foot, Why the hell am I haveing to use over 80% oppersite lock for that? If I stop the wheel sooner the tail still still gose round and is not bringing the car stright again, Then that makes it so I can't get it the next cornerr, In Grip Drift or Rally

And I don't see how Its all my fault, I can't do what you all say anymore exactly, So it can't just be my fault now can it?, I'm not saying I'm tottaly blameless, But I just want to play LFS but none of the other G25 posts have help'd, Almost the same infomation has this one, Someone must be missing something, Or giving it slightly the wrong name, Like the wheel turn Compensation being the Linarcy

Sorry for the double posting. Right i (g/f) have taken a look through this post sat down and had the wheel uninstalled and reinstalled. I have provided screen shots of how every setting is now set to and unfortunately there are still issues with the counter steering, eg: you come out of a corner and counter steer to straighten the car up but unfortunately the wheel then spins the direction you are steering and it is v.hard to turn it back, by the time Ive fought the the wheel back to centre I'm already spinning ~ well, not me but Koshi but he's mentioned it in previous posts.

So anyway here are the SS of all settings (relevant or not), please let me know if there is any discrepancies or any missing that you need to see.

Edit: Had to add these two screenies of Global Profiler Setting and the About Profiler box, With driver version and link to Logitech button

Cleary something is missing if I am doing EXACTLY as I am told to do, I mean how can I put the setting anymore like your all telling me to? Have checked and tripple checked, I'm not blaming anyone, I have been tottaly overloaded with everything and I don't feel I have been told the bit that I need, Casue I still haven't got it sorted despite all the pics and the manulas and stuff

Then why is it Wheel Turn Compensation that you set to 1.00 but everyone has been calling it Linarcy, I will start over with everything from this post and see how it gose

I haven't been waiting months to play GTR or TOCA

When you change the Global in the profiler it auto changes the Game Controllers, But I was told to use Game sepicific so dose the mean that the global has to be default? Thats the stuff I need explaning and manuals and car set-up guides only state what things are, It dosen't help me know where to set sliders for what I need from the car, Also when you reinstall the drivers you have to make sure its fully removed from Add Remove programes or it dosen't seem to start the calibration setup, Have tried reinstalling drivers, Then it made TOCA and GTR unplayable, Untill I got it to run the inital calibration screen and theres no Calibration button under ether of the 2 tabs in the Windows Game Controllers section, Now the Logitech Device Wizard dose not start, Will it dose for a split second and is gone again

Edit: I can't see what I could of overlooked, The profiler is 101% overall and the rest on 0% with the center spring unticked, I have the global set exactly the same for lack of knowing what to set it too, I dunno if Axis Properties would effect it much, But here is Sensitivity 50%, Dead zone 0% Range 100%, Invert Axis Polarity unticked, Other than that I've done what you have said

Again no one explaned anything full, I was told it was 101%-105% in the profiler, Not the in game force, Other the the wheel rotation mine is exactly the same

Edit: Setting in game force to over 100% makes its so I can not turn the wheel into a corner, Practice days?, It been over a week and I'm no closer to balencing the car and controling the angle during counter steer, Casue the wheel dosen't let me steer where I am needing to, Theres no way that is realistic

10% or lower is even more undriveable, 15%-20% seem to be good, Now the heavy turn has some how gone, I'm back to my counter steer issues, Of it pushing to full oppersite lock and being difficult to to straighten the front wheels again, So it chucks my car out the drift randomly

Edit: Was watching some random in car shots of drifting and no matter what I do the wheel dosen't move like that, Like its giving the FFB in the wrong place or the wrong way or something

I've tried 20% and lower and it dosen't make it any easyier, So what Am I ment to put it too?
Koshi_Eternium
S2 licensed
Even on 30% in game on LFS, If I applied the same force towards and away from me, i could easily rip the wheel from the base, Thats how hard I'm having to move the wheel when i need to
Koshi_Eternium
S2 licensed
Well this is utter crap, Now my steering is really heavy on the turn in not just the counter steer the profiler really dosen't seam to be doing anything, So its something you've told me wrong cause I have done EXACTLY what you have all said and I'm still no closer to playing LFS since I started over a week ago have been waiting months before the G25, Yet I can still steer fine on TOCA Race Driver 3 with the in game force at 70% so I can't really be a faulty wheel, With and with out the profiler on the same settings, I just don't see why in LFS the wheel is so much harder to turn even with under 40% in game with and without the profiler

So whatever, I've done everything you've all said and I still have no idea
Last edited by Koshi_Eternium, .

So again the G25 will still not let me use my counter steer, Cause as soon as i add any the wheel swings really fast to full lock by it's self so yes Taylor that would autonomously wouldn't it?, Oh and thanks for not saying that linarcy is Wheel Turn Compensation, That would of been helpful, I still have everything exactly the same as you have all told me

So what am I ment to do?, The wheel is easy to move when not
moving and hard to move while trying to counter steer mainly when strightening the front wheels

Edit: Also about the drivers think I have 5.01.256 [From CD] and I can see no way to get 5.00.171 from anywhere, Other than that drive I have tried everything and counter steer is still useless, Can people start explaning stuff properly, If its Wheel Turn Compensation that you have to set to 1.00, Why say its called linarcy? So its no wonder I can't set it up if you all give the wrong tiltle to settings and thats with the profiler running, There is no differnce when I shut down the profiler while the game is running

Edit2: Well I have nothing else to try and at no point as anysetting from anyone been enough, Even the overral 50% Spring 10% Damperner 10 Center Spring ticked and unticked at 0% that I came up with my self, I've had it, There is no reason why my G25 will not let me use my counter steer

Just unticked the center spring and I can't tell any differnce between them, The wheel is still hard to turn where I need to and ends up full oppersite lock

Edit:One thing, Shouldn't the wheel be hard to turn when stationary?
Edit 2:After trying it ticked and unticked at 0%, Moving to 15% ticked and unticked, Unticked at 15% I was more able to get the car round the turns, But am still having issues of it just snapping out randomly mainly between direction transitions but even a right to right corner the the front shoot into the outside wall or the tail will ether not step out or is past 45 degrees even with over 80% oppersite lock and it still dosen't steer back turning the wheel faster I think is what causes the front to shoot into the outside wall, But I dunno how anything is ment to feel, No one has ever said

Having just this minute used Game Specific Setting I am getting a much better feel so I can balence the car, The only thing now is when I drift from left to right the wheel is still quite violent and hard to turn where I need to even with in game force at 20%, I set the Global Device Setting to the same as Game Specific Cause I didn't know what to do

Quote from pine-fin :At 100% I feel it, below 50% I dont feel 'anything'. i.e. front tyre skid.

EDIT: @ koshi
Did you check all the tabs of profiler? You can set a profile as 'default', so if you start lfs, it may use another profile, if you accidentally made it like that.

Yes I made an LFS profile and even loaded the game from the profiler but I was told not to use the Game Specific Settings by 45 nico CrAnk, I'm just get flooded by random settings that I can not do anything with

If helping me in real time, Over MSN or in game is easyier [I know real time chat is better for me] My MSN is [email protected] & my in game handle is [L.B]K_Eternium

Again I thank all who have taken time to even try to help here and in game, But its stressing me out so much I must be coming across as abit of a jerk, but to be fair I am only being as much of a jerk as I get treated like one and I appolgise to anyone who thinks I was being a dick,

Edit: When I use the below setting in the Game Specific Settings, Do I need to set the Global Device Settings to anything?

Overall Effects - 101%
Spring - 0%
Damper - 0%
Ticked Enable Centering Spring - 0%
Ticked Use Special Steering Wheel Settings
Unticked Report Combined Pedals

[quote=Make sure you leave the profiler open when your playing, otherwise I don't think it keeps your settings. I very well could be wrong though.[/quote]

Have used the same settings with and with out the Logitech profiler and call tell no difference

[quote=TAYLOR-MANIA;683854] Well then you must be doing something wrong if the Profiler 'doesn't make any difference to anything'. Maybe you didn't set it up correctly in the Windows Game Controllers, check the calibration or something.[/quote]

Correctly? Have tried so many different ways I wouldn't know what correctly anymore, Not that anything works, Taylor your still not reading my posts fully cause I shouldn't have to type what I've said before again, Could you try reading them again please and send a privet message,
Cause I really dislike forums, I never find any help cause all thats on any forum is if I can even find anything, Someone will started with their problem than someone else says try this, Then the first guy will say "Wasn't that but fixed it anyway", Then give no explanation, Or everyone is to eager to flame someone for the slightest typing or grammer [If this is wrong blame the spell checker, There was this or Gramme and it dosen't look spelt anybetter] mistake, Thats wrong, You don't rip on someone trying to get help, You save that for in game and pass on the outside blaring your horn ^^ [Or something like Halo or Unreal, You just keep pawning heads], This is last post, Can I ask anyone with any additional info on why when I used the same setting as people say in game and with the windows and Logitech out game, All I'm getting is try this this this, No one is properly explaining anything, So its no wonder I haven't been able to play LFS over a week after getting my G25

Again the manual and car setup guides are no good to more as they only state what things are not what to set anything

What could I possibly of done wrong when I did exactly what you said?, The wheel was fine on other racing sims, So I don't see how it can be faulty, So what do I do when the new one comes and it dose exactly the same as this one?

This is gunna be my last post, Cause I'm just getting what I got when I asked people in rooms, Any extra helpful replies are still weclome'd, But there is still no reason why counter steer dose as good as nothing

101 out game and 20% in game it what I started using, The profiler dosen't seem to make any differnce to anything, So it dosen't matter what I set anything to the wheel will not let me balence the car when it oversteers
