Get a wheel. Honestly I tried it once for fun and it was undrivable. Drove a lot with mouse when I was a demo racer but get yourself a wheel.

It makes much more fun to drive and you'll get more confidence in the car which is absolutely important when you drive online.

I raced yesterday a bit on the STCC 1a I think and it was fun. Ok sometimes I've some difficulties but I give people room. If I don't know how to drive through a turn I spectate and watch how the other peeps are braking etc. worked fine yday.

Unfortunately most people brake very late and crash into your car. I learnt my lession. I try to be the last one on the server because I know that turn1 will seperate the field

But most of the drivers are nice and I had a brilliant fight with someone yesterday. It makes a lot of fun there

Well I'm buying a DFP cos I need a new racing wheel. The momo racing is ok but I want to use it with GT4 and for LfS. As the G25 is too expensive for me I'll go for the DFP.

Maybe I can use the pedals of my momo racing and the wheel from the DFP. Are the pedal so bad from the DFP? Thee ways seem to be a bit short *confused*

It was a great event and doing online tv coverage is brilliant! Nearly as good as a common broadcast of ITV or so!

I'd say GPL and LfS. Just cos GPL is old the physics musn't be worse than LfS. Papyrus aka Iracing nowadays created the best simulation so far but as we all know there'll still be improvements so GPL is as good as 8 years or so ago.

GPL is much more demanding as ajp71 said. Cars with a lot of power without downforce. Drive a few laps Nordschleife / Isle of Man and you know what I mean. It's a complete different simulation but great.

So both are simulations people who like to race should have in their shelves Quite diplomatic innit?

I'd a race where I blocked cos we had a fight for a position. Well I only closed the doors at the beginning of a corner where my oponent was 20 meters behind me. Suddenly I was kicked of the track and he shoutet at me. I only block when I can defend my position but wont block if someone is faster than me.

Most people I've been racing with are fair drivers.

Momo Racing Force and it's not as good as it could be. Well have to keep with it

BitDefender does have this bloody stupid behaviour too. AVG doesn't interrupt me from driving but it's annoying if you're in first and crash into another car or in the wall.

Well I turned AutoUpdate off and it runs smoothly now.

Just think about 24 hour races. I agree with some people that they can't run HDR with their cards but S3 is not expected this year so I think HDR should be practicable with the graphic cards in 2 or 3 years.

You just need to have a look at the improvement in the last 12 months. Ok I don't upgrade every 3 years but it would be a nice feature anyway.

Hey FF workls in F1Challenge but in Richard Burns Rally im not quite sure cos the wheel is soooooooooo easy to turn. I mean I can drive the rally car with my little finger!

But it works in F1Challenge. Worked once with Nascar 2003 Racing Season but it's gone there too I think.

have looked for some other threads but I couldn'Ät find one regarding an momo Racing and some Force Feedback trouble. I can't get Force Feedback running properly (honestly it doesn't work I think). I don't have feedback if I drive over curbs or when the car gets loose.

enable FFB in LfS and Wingman software, nothing happend. Reinstallment didn't work too. I'm deperate on solving this problem.

Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem? I wanna feel what the car is doing cos it's more driving a car on the monitor. Driving without any feedback from the whell can be complicated sometimes. I need some info about what the car is doing and when it's breaking out.

Appreciate any help or suggestions.

Yes HDR should be used moderate. They could add some blurr effects like in MotoGP etc.

Ok I really like LfS but it could be a feature which everyone who doesn't like it can turn off.

Well as I see not many peeps of you really want to use HDR. That's a bit surprising for me cos I thought everyone would enjoy more realism and HDR.

I've seen it in Hl² Lostcoast and in Episode1. Far Cry had it too. I'm talking about HDR and yes I'm sure that HDR could take racing sims to a new level. I only have a 9800Pro but HDR looks great.

Why should only 3D shooters have this feature? Just imagine you're driving LfS and the sun blinds you. Would be very cool in real 24 hours races. GTR2 would offer more than just brilliant cars, sounds etc. HDR would make it more realistic when you drive 24 hour races.

What do you think? Should HDR be implemented in racing sims? My vote: yes!

Yeah I'm racing with modified race_s setups. The first thing I try is to get all tyres green for optimum grip and honestly it works most of the time. I had an absolutely thrilling fight at Aston North with someone who made his own setup but I could keep him behind me.

Was really interesting to see the reactions when I told the peeps that I was using race_s modified. It's very important for me to get all tyres green by changing the camber and then to change the pressure. Sometimes the pressure has toi be changed.

The only thing I'm not really yet into are the gear ratios. Can't cope with them right now but I'm learning. The LfS book from 4Players might be a better book if they would have written more about the setup options.

What do u usually change first? Just curious.
