I do not think this is the correct approach to take entirely. I would tend to agree that 7 speed gearboxes such as the BF1 Sauber would be better suited for sequential/paddle shifting but I completely disagree with making this setting hard coded on all single seaters! I believe all of the other single seater models are 6 speeds or less, correct? These work perfectly well in sequential mode and we've in fact been driving in this mode quite a lot using G-25! Also, isn't it possible to alter gear ratios to effectively use 6 gears on the BF1 car as well??
Please please do not limit the usefulness of our G-25 gated shifter!
I would even argue that instead of limitations, you could potentially consider alternative control methods that work concurrently. In one of your competitor's games, we are able to configure both the gated and paddle shifters concurrently as primary and secondary controls and you have the ability to use them interchangeably. This might be a better approach. Either way, I do not think locking out the gated shifter is ever a good idea.
Cheers!

[quote=Scawen;162693]Hello Racers! Here is a new Test Patch U20!
NOTE about H-shifters : Since U11, you cannot use an H shifter on a single seater car. If you have a shifter, LFS automatically sets to sequential when you select a single seater. There are two separate versions of these three settings (one for sequential and one for shifter) : AutoClutch, GCCut, GCBlip. That's because a lot of people may wish to use auto clutch with their paddle shift and manual clutch with their shifter.
He wanted the likeness of this livery painted on the FZR. Black car with the red trim treatment and Batman logos. He doesn't want the FZR's shape to look like a Batmobile. :haha:
I sure couldn't tell when racing you but typically a person would be at a huge disadvantage in driving games using a gamepad. We did some side by side comparisons on some of the license tests in GT4 and there were a few that were darn right next to impossible to achieve using a gamepad and were not difficult at all with a wheel.
Smax, this is another outstanding skin! Thanks very much! The only other one I really need now is the XFG which i've been driving quite a bit on 400's server. Any chance you can do up a nice treatment on one of those for me instead of the MRT (don't want to be greedy)? Btw, I am really looking forward to the helmet skin too! Thanks buddy!

ps. You are all quite welcome to use these skins as long as their respective authors are ok with it.
Your recollection of the event differs from mine. I was in front of your pack and purposefully moved off into the sand to allow you all to pass which you did...I then had no indication anyone else was back there (not saying there wasn't since obviously he was) so I thought it safe to re-enter the track and then clipped him. You all passed me safely. I had no bad intentions and immediately apologized to him but without even a discussion he just booted me off. I think given the circumstances and the fact that I have been on there for awhile now and had pleasant experiences with many of you, I should have been given the benefit of the doubt.
I won't discuss this anymore. If you guys want to let me back on, just let me know, otherwise I shall have to play elsewhere.
I was driving on the lovely 400 server today (actually been on a lot lately) and was issued a one year ban from Bawbag, who I accidentally clipped while re-entering the circuit after going out of my way to steer clear of leaders (I joined race late). I immediately apologized to him, and in fact did not see him in my mirrors nor did I have a blue flag indicator and his response was to issue me a one year ban from the server.
Is this indicative of the LFS racing community at large? Make a mistake, apologize and then get a swift kick in the arse?
You 400 guys wanna do the right thing, you know how to fix it. Otherwise, I will take my enjoyment elsewhere. I don't need that kind of bullcrap from anyone. I thought this was a well respected racing group in the LFS community. So far I am not impressed with the hospitality.
