Quote from jayhawk :Allrighty...but since I am assuming you know about the 4AGE engine, you would know that it would have to be about one inch thick to fit. Subaru can get away with a top mounted intercooler because they use an engine design that has horizontally opposed cylinders, thus giving the room.

IT JUST WONT WORK.

It's an 4AGZE engine in that one, but it doesn't matter... bought a new stock AE86 with a 4AGE engine. Has a nice standard hood with no scoop

Quote from Hankstar :My question is this: if you actually own an AE86 that puts out 190bhp (nasty-looking intake aside ), why the hell do you want LFS to simulate one? If that was my car I wouldn't sim-race ever again

The engine is a supercharged 4A-GZE engine with some minor addons to produce the 180-190 HP.

I bought it like a week ago so I haven't had it registered yet. I might not be gaming that much sim racing after I get it on the road.

Quote from 96 GTS :How is your intercooler mounted? I've never seen an intercooler anywhere but right behind the front grille. Mounting an intercooler right on top of the engine isn't very smart, as the heat from the engine kind of defeats the purpose of having an intercooler. Also, how is your car turbocharged yet only makes 190 hp? It must be a very small turbo.

It's supercharged (compressor), not turbocharged.

Quote from sgt.flippy :You tell em!

And about that air intake... it looks like it's sticked on and doesn't have a hole in it leading to the engine. And I don't know very much about cars... But does a car with 190 HP need an air intake? If it does have a use... Please paint it FAST.

Yeah, it looks ugly, and I wouldn't have mounted it myself. But it's there and I have to accept it. It'll look better painted

It is a hole in it and the intercooler is placed right behind it so it does get some cooling. If it is neccessery with the air intake to cool it I don't know.

The car runs like hell though. It's just insane...

Quote from sgt.flippy :We all know it's a popular drifting car, and I don't think this question will make you very popular, because there is something with drifters and grippers. And secondly, there is only three "real" cars in LFS, and they aren't really anything like a street car. We don't believe LFS will ever have cars like toyota, nissan, ford, whatever, except if they pull off a contract like they did with Sauber.

And please remove that air intake from your car, it's ugly, and I don't think it has any use.

About my air intake: Well, I didn't mount it... but it does have a purpose. It cools my intercooler which is rather usefull since my engine produces 190 HP. And it won't look so stupid when I get it repainted to match the color of the car

About the name, it doesn't really have to be named AE86 in the game, they could just use a fake name and make a similar model.
Request: Please add an AE86 model to the game

Can you please add a modell for this car in LFS?

The AE86 is a very famous/popular drifting car and it would be a really nice addition for the LFS drifters out there.
