Dunno if this works out cheaper in dollars but i recently got http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0015MISAG for my vga lcd panal, just plug it into vga port and a tv at the same time, set up the resolution etc on tv, and it appears on the monitor, no fannying about . Sony are a bit stupid not supporting vga from the start and selling a lead themselves like with the xbox 360, especially since its just a command in the bios guess they think people are going to buy a hdmi tv instead of finding a work around. Sadly with this set up it won't play dvd's/blueray discs through the vga port. So if hes planning on using it to watch films then the one you posted will be better.
I'm sure its not scare tactics. I think alot of manufactures would void the warrenty if you started tuning the car. Its good buisness sense really, so they don't have to deal with all the boy racers ragging the hell out of it.
Yes, thats by adding things to the registry, and proberly the most foolproof method available. Still can be worked around through :/. Thing is, if the devs wanted the demo to be time limited they would of done it long ago.
.... spitting your dummy out over this? come on mate theres better things to get pissed off with.
Time limiting the demo will do nothing, people will just reinstall the demo, work round it, cracks will still appear. This way people can check out the game for as long as they want, if they want the full experince they can buy. If there was a time limit it would have to be 30 days or something, to give people the chance to properly get into it.
And you ended up buying this. I don't think it really matters either way, serious sim racers will buy the game, people who just want to fanny about won't. Limiting the demo won't change this.
First 5 second quick play, 900 degrees not good, seems a bit bland, graphics aren't great. Locked up my system on exit (wanted to sort wheel out). But it has holdens and bathurst :S
Edit: just had a bit longer of a play, reset me steering to 360 degrees. Seems alright, pretty fun, but that maybe because it bathurst. The cars feel floaty, and the force feedback is just wierd, really light between the middle and about 90degrees either side, then it starts trying to tug on your hands. Also, trying to get the rear end lose is impossible with out the handbrake, and you can't lock your wheels under heavy braking. Maybe its just the start of a sim, kinda like lfs back in the real early days.
I think this is a good idea really, have the devs judge/be involved with it (well they'd have to be to allow it in LFS). And make it so that the designs have to sensible, no 1000bhp minis or something. If you open it up to everyone there should be a good few cars coming through.
Sadly thats usually the case in the UK now, you don't go and find the best service you find the least crap . Personely I think virgin are pretty damn good. Started with blue younder on 2mbit internet many years ago, and over time got free upgrades to 20mbit, and some time this year they're upping it to 50mbit. Plus thier ondemand tv service is just amazing.
Before having ago at the "refugees" what about our own lazy arsed council scum native population, that only life for plopping out more sprogs, and claiming more money so they can go out on the piss on a saturday night. The main problem with the welfare system is that to many "natives" are sponging off the system for it not to work. Sure refugees/asylum seekers put strain on it, but its pretty much down to the bone idle feckless wonders who'd rather sit at home watchin The Jeremy kyle show, then get any sort of work. But then it proberly pays more to sit on your arse then working 40 hours a week.
I have my own opinions, mainly to leave others alone unless they're causing you problems. How are gay people causing you problems exactly? Or is your irrational hatred/fear of them blinkering your views to be the same as the other "guys" down the pub who like pints, and male bonding? think of all your friends... 10% of them are proberly gay.
Ahhh thanks for reminding me duke_toaster, been planning on watching that episode of Louis Theroux again, always funny. He has a way of showing people for what they are whilst still looking innocent :P
Flymike: I agree on the gays not being married in church, forcing the churchs to do that would be well forcing someone to do something, which is never good. But marriage in a civil ceremony should be allowed.
flymike91: isn't that how marriages work now? you can either opt for a religious cermony or a civil one, at least in the uk you can. Civil = no religious stuff.
Along with bioshock and mass effect (althrough that was released only on the 360). Nice to see assassins creed near the top even if it was a bit repetative.
Why? What exactly is so bad about it? Are they trying to convert you? Are you scared you are one? Whats is with this irrational hatred/phobia of gay people? Is it to do with relegion?
