Hello everyone and welcome to the Official [TFL] Recruitment Thread.
Here, I'll give you team Info, a member list, team ranks and how to rank up, and a recruitment form if you are interested in joining [TFL].



SECTION 1: INFO - First I'll give you some team information...

The Faithless Legion are an all round team.
So we do

1. Races. These range from Demo Cars to TBOs to GTRs to Open-Wheel, on Drags, Circuits and Custom Layouts.
   
2. Drift Comps. We know that in LFS, there is a large drifting community, so we accommodate for them as well.
   
3. Fun Nights. These are usually mess around tracks, such as figure 8s, loops and custom competitive racing such as "The Stop and Go Race".
   
4. Playlist Events. Slightly different to the fun nights, these Events can be multiple of the above 3. Though generally Races, Drift Comps and Fun Events combined into a playlist are usually shorter to accommodate the number of events.

SECTION 3: Ranking System
Okay so at the moment there are 4 main set-in-concrete ranks. This helps identify how new or skilled to the team members are...

[TFL] Recruit (RM): Light Blue - Can use team skins and rank up (Of course)
[TFL] Official Member (OM): Red - RM abilities + Can have their skins featured on the TFL Thread, [TC] and LFS.net.
[TFL] Elite Member (EM): Green - OM Abilities + Can have their tracks featured on the [TFL] Thread, [TC] and LFS.net. Can also recruit members for [TFL]
[TFL] Admin/Top Rank (A/TR): Purple - EM Abilities + Can Host events with Owners permission and knowledge for event organisation purposes. Can also kick members with a valid reason and members username.

How to rank up - To rank up in [TFL], you must earn points by finishing between 1st and 5th. A bonus 2 points can be earned by setting the fastest lap, first for a whole lap, tandem a whole lap, best drift score, pole position, etc.
(1st = 5 points)
(2nd = 4 Points)
(3rd = 3 points)
(4th = 2 points)
(5th = 1 point)

[TFL] Elite Member: 25 Points
[TFL] Admin: 55 Points
(These numbers may increase or decrease as this is still in development)

SECTION 5: TEAM RUELS
These are the team rules and must be followed to avoid a bad reputation and/or getting kicked/banned from [TFL]

1. No purposeful ramming. - We want to provide a fun event/playlist and you ramming others is not accepted
   (In some fun night game modes, this rule does not apply)
   
2. Do not be abusive or aggressive towards ANYONE, especially admins.
   
3. NO TWEAKS - Keeps the tweaks for tweak servers, at [TFL] we race fair and mods are not accepted.
   
4. Follow the rules set out in custom games - Events are held on LFS.net and will have rules for that specific event in the description. Follow them rules to avoid getting kicked.
   
5. If you're kicked, its for a reason. - You are welcome to re-enter the game, but if you continue to break the rules, you will serve a 12 hour - 24 hour ban.
   

Warnings will be issued like so...
1st warning - Admin has told you to stop your disturbance
2nd warning - Kicked
3rd warning - 12 hour to 24 hour Ban
4th and final warning - Permanent Ban until you request to be unbanned for a valid reason.

Well, I want to bring us racers together again! I run/host a Server called "[TFL] Anything Goes!" (AKA "[TFL] Racing") and we always have races, almost 24/7 (Or 95% of the time the server is up). The whole purpose of [TFL] is to have fun and race. Now, we don't always have serious racing, we have fun races and challenges too but its still something fun that I'd love for the LFS Racing community to experience and enjoy!

Honestly, this isn't intentionally "self promotion" for my server, Its just somewhere for us all to meet. I was thinking of hosting an event this coming weekend as a trial and see how it goes. If it goes well, then the following weekend, etc, then I host a meet up/race on some of the layouts that I have created myself each week, (Below) Ranging from GTI Racing & TBO Racing, to GTR Racing & FO8/F1 Racing. Even Class Races!

I think with the all tyres thing, it should apply to the race cars more so. Cause they can't be made any better or any more grippy because they have slicks already. So if the GTRs had Rally tyres and/or road tyres then you could have more variety in terms of racing. My 2 cents

Join [TFL] Anything Goes. We always hold races. Almost all day, everyday. When you join you're about 95% guaranteed to find that there is a race layout on with a couple of people racing. On the off chance that we aren't racing, it either isn't for long or its a fun game mode/map going on.

Hello! I was wondering if someone could make me a Watkins Glen Layout, preferably with both configurations for some variety and on Westhill Carpark as its the biggest open area and I'm not a big fan of Air tracks. This would be greatly appreciated! I've put a track map and birds eye view as a guide. I'd love to do some GTR racing on this as I've always loved The Glen. <3 Thank you again!

Oh well, its not everyone's cup of tea. But these game modes etc. aren't a full time thing. The teams purpose is Racing mostly and occasionally drift comps to keep things interesting. The reason for the variety is that there are already so many race teams/drift teams out there and none that I've seen have much of a variety in what they do. Just racing or Just Drifting. I made this team for Racing but also for JFF (Just For Fun) Events. Something I don't see that much on LFS anymore. But like I said, it's not for everyone.

Nice. FXO is pretty good with decent turn-in. But the RB4 is amazing and really suits my driving style! Love it dude!

Edit: Oh and that FXR set is amazing too! P.S. Part of the reason yours is 6 sec quicker is cause the OP's setup was for FX2 (Air Restricted) not FXR.

Now that our Server is up and running, our first event is being held in a few days! Nothing major but want to see how it goes! I'm opening the event on Demo to give the demo racers a chance at joining also. We are playing 3 rounds of "COP TAG" (Custom TFL Game Mode) and then an FBM race! As I said, nothing major but I hope it will be just as much fun as I intend it to be!

Hello! I need help with making a public server via my computer (Not hiring a one). I've looked up tutorials but they're either not clear or not in English. I was wondering if someone could guide me through it step by step as it would help me dramatically as I currently can't afford to hire a server and whatnot.

That was for the first 3 to sign up. (They haven't got back to me, ie: why they don't have the "Elite Tag" yet) You were, I think, the 5th to sign up. As of now, I'm working on a system to "get promoted" I guess you could say. Which will include following server/game mode rules, behaviour on the server & winning game modes, races and drift comps to become an "Elite Member". As for being promoted to be an "Admin", that requires following the rules at all times, very good behaviour and earning my trust of course as well. That's on top of winning game modes, races, etc.

"Ranking up/Getting Promoted" and all of the above will take place once the server is fully developed and running.

Don't worry, in the future you still have a chance of being an Elite member and maybe even an Admin!
