I agree with what Tristan is saying, I have had iRacing since the beta and the cars are just too hard to drive since the latest patch. Racing machines by their nature have lots of grip, with iRacing it's like they are on ice with a million bhp.

I've now switched to GT5 for a bit which I must say is not half bad. While it's not a proper Sim it's half way there and it rewards good, neat driving.

iRacing just seems a bit mad at the moment, they just seem to be making it worse

From what I have been told V1 racing was working with, and at one time based at Fortec motorsport.

The father of one of the Fortec's drivers also co-owns rockingham. They also use LFS to help the real life FBM drivers.

So it all kind of ties together, sort of.....

From a personal point of view, If someone is getting a run on me on the inside I will move across the track “slowly” to try and stop them coming through. If they have an overlap I might squeeze them a bit by moving to the middle of the track to try and pressure them to brake too late as long as there's space to do so without hitting them. However I must agree that zigzagging, moving across aggressively especially if the other driver is already along side is bad news. But it happens so rarely on LFS its not really something most should worry about. This argument about blocking will prob go on as long as racing cars are about.

Its taken me a while to get things sorted, have all my setups back, stuff like that. but Basically its frickin awsome! The way the cars grip feels more and more real to me. The FBW is giving me more practace using the clutch, Its a step foward for sure.

Also for the demo users, yes maybe its a shame you cant drift the same, but live for speed is not a charity. Most games the age of live for speed would not support such an active demo user community in the first place.

I dont want to say anything too harsh mrodgers because you have a huge amount of posts and im sure you have run a lot of laps.

However this "passion for racing" thing isnt quite right. Live for speed in my view provides the best racing experiance out of any game I have played. However a few other simracing games are not far off, just because people move on to another game with more tracks doesent prove they dont like racing any less.

Racing drivers and sim racers love a challenge and there are no new challenges that are being given to us at the moment by LFS. Its the same tracks and the same cars.

For instance I used to regually attend my local karting track to do grandprix's and race against other randoms. However after going there so much I decided that i'd had enaugh and started going to other tracks further away from me. I really dont see why doing that meant Iliked racing karts any less.
Thats the point here i think, the people who have been here for years know what tracks they like and dislike, know what cars they like and dislike. There's nothing new to work out its all just the same.

LFS and NR2003 are my two favorite Sim's so I say keep the Nascar

I'm glad it focus's on so many different sim's it means it will appeal to everyone who enjoys sim-racing.

These are fantastic guys, I cant wait for the next edition about how sim racing all started.
I'm going to post the video's in a few simracing forums I go on, you certainly deserve all the support you can get.

I agree that the red and white barriers that make you fly up when you hit them should be fixed first. Although having tracks like Spa, Silverstone, Monza, on LFS would be a dream.

Sim racing is you pretending to be a real racing driver, real tracks would complete this experiance.

I have not had time to read everything so sorry if this has been mentioned already.
Its not always the admins that kick people, its idiots who just take over the server, they all vote together the moment anyone connects to ban them so they can have the server to themselves.
Its VERY annoying luckally it has only happend to me a couple of times mostly on the stunt racing server.

I dont see why anyone will get hurt through silly driving, online racing kind of builds racing respect into people. Certainly all the people from the BUKC were very clean when i raced with them and when i raced with some buddys from a NR2003 series they were respectfull as well.

The only way you could hurt yourself at that track in a fourstroke is hitting another kart. there are big enaugh run off areas everywhere else for you to not hit the tyres very hard if at all.

why?? lol
Ive driven there in the wet on a tkm it was fun first time in a two stroke and having to drive with bricks for tyres.

racing in the wet is fun, being cold and standing in the rain errr isnt!! also i dont have one of those plastic things to go over my overalls

Man thats bad luck Will still would like to see you at the meeting maybe try the practace session and if it hurts too much then dont race.
Or race for a shorter time than the others, would be a huge shame if you couldnt come :-(

didnt DC race in spain with two cracked ribs? not saying its a good idea though, he was a loony for doing it.

ive never camped at the grand prix but i reckon if the world cup wasnt on there might not have been so much crap going on.

ive found motorsport fans to be freindly people especially things like Bike racing fans there always a good bunch of blokes.

There's always been somthing about are country and colture and getting drunk. I go to beer festivles now and again and the people there are the most freindly you will ever meet.

Sadly its larger lads who drink Stella and Carling who cause the problems.

I went through the F1 race in 2003 on the streight with one ear plug, my right ear rung for 2 days lol
