About the temps of the 4850 you can get a Sapphire 4850 Dual Slot it doesn't cost more than a standard one but it has a custom PCB and better cooling than the stock card.
Mine runs around 45ish C at idle and maxed at 75C in furmark stability test.

As I recall you can have LFS unlocked on multiple PCs and you can play on LAN but only 1 of the PCs can play S2 online or something like that

When you switch to windowed mode then the FSAA probably gets disabled and when you switch back it will stay disabled that could be the only thing that explains why you get more FPS that way

Also running on 1920x1200 the visual difference between no AA and 2xFSAA ain't that huge so you probably just missed the fact that FSAA is turned off

Maybe I'm just biased since I deal with dead or dieing 360s not quite daily but almost . I wouldn't trust my money on a console at all both of em have hardware issues the 360 ones are just more frequent.
Stick to a PC and will not have to worry about 3 red lights or the thing rendering your games worthless because of cute circular rings on them .
The PS3 is a bastard to code on so there are very little games for it and the Wii is just a cute toy to screw around with.
So in conclusion I'd say Yes there is a Huge market for consoles but a PC will not let you down as much as a console.

But still I wouldn't trust Gigabyte that much I know some people have em an love em but I have also seen too many of die quite fast
So I would suggest an Asus P5k/P5B which is a nice decent board and it's also OC friendly

Ok Graphics you can get an ATI 3870 cheap you can get one for around 130£ or the 8800GT they have both pretty much the same performance but the ATI is just a lil bit cheaper

Motherboard, RAM: Well atm DDR3 is just far too expensive so just stick to DDR2 and them sticks are damn cheap now as well a 1Gb stick will cost you around 12£
I'd say for a motherboard you can use an Asus P5k they are quite nice boards and overclock friendly as well

CPU: Well the new E8*** chips are already in sale in Japan and a few other places. So it should not take too long anymore for them to arrive in Europe

I also had the same issue. What I did was the first time when I was installing the drivers I did not plug in the wheel until the setup said that "make sure everything is plugged in .... " and after the install I got the error. Then I just uninstalled the drivers plugged in my wheel did a reboot and installed the drivers again and it worked fine.

The only way you can get a 5.9 for HDD is when you have a 10k/15k rpm drive everything less than that will have a max of 5.8

With the 360 you really have to be lucky when you get one alot of em die on you with in the first two months ms does not want to admit it but alot of the consoles also kill your games so if you wanna try your luck then yes the 360 has a much much better selection of games but I would trust the ps3 more

atm I'm working at a special place that will make you cry so I can tell you DONT get the 360 it does have more games and stuff but whats the point if you can only play 4 months a year and the rest of the time it'll be in repair

I'd say go for the 850XT Tabula will run very nicely on it I have a laptop with a Go7600 and Tabula Rasa looks pretty nice on it and I have good fps aswell and the XT is better than my go7600 Don't know about Conan i dont have beta access just need to wait and see

I say wait till december new cards are coming and prices will drop so it's not a very good idea to buy a card now to find out a month later that a better and a cheaper card is available. So just wait a bit more

Well LFS maybe yes ( I lack the $$ to do testing myself )But Scrabby was talking about FPS games and in most todays FPS you will not get pretty much any difference in frames with those 2 cpu's or I misunderstood something here, sometimes I'm slow

Umm in games the difference between the AMD 4600 and Intels 6300 will be like 1-3FPS the 6300 will be faster in encoding and such but games will be the same you will not notice any difference.

You can check the condensators ( I don't know how to write that in english :razz them things http://colors.mfker.com/caps.jpg maybe the mobo has given up or run some disc checks if you haven't already it might be the OS disc is borked. Hopefully it's the windows it has a tendency to screw itself
