Yup! and I have played online with a 200-300 ping. Frown don't touch them if you want to live.

My latency seems to be affected with the usage of a VPN. Prior, I would have around 130-150 STABLE. Now through Proton, I bounce in the 200-300 range. Sad.

Nothing from the devs, guess my time playing LFS comes to an end. Tragic that we can accommodate slower and older PCs but not more connection paths.

I thought there was a Key Combo for this but it appears the host has to receive UDP packets. I still get a Host did not receive UDP packet. Bummer, I may just stop playing LFS, not going to change back to an ISP that charges way too much.

Quote from CRAAACH :Why does your ISP block you UDP on 5G? And are you rly sure this protocol is being blocked? Never heard of mobile internet players not able to connect due to udp requirement. Are you sure it's not something else?

connecting through a vpn solves the issues so clearly a t-mobile block. Wish we could change this on the LFS level so I do not have to use a vpn.

That would be a good question to ask T-Mobile. Tech support will likely not be able to help me, already using a standalone router. Worked fine until I switched to T-Mobile and looking back in the forums in 2017 it was an issue for others using mobile internet but the mobile internet is much better now compared to 2017. It only fails on the UDP Handshake, downloads mods, skins, helmets, fails at the last point of connection with the udp packet. You can turn it off, but only after connecting.
Allow UDP to change to TCP without being online

Pretty simple request as the title says.

Allow users to switch to TCP only mode before connecting to a server. My internet from a 5g home gateway is plenty fast and stable enough to use for online game play in every other game I play so it would be nice to be able to continue playing LFS online without having to switch to a different ISP.

All I see is a gimmick. These will not hold up on any type of large vehicle. There will always be a need for air filled tires. These will not be a huge game-changer. Minor at best for EVs and low mileage drivers at best. You will still have premature replacements with these because a lot of people do not do proper maintenance on their cars (alignment, struts, joints, etc). Nothing to see here but fancy dreams without true real world thought put into it.

It's nice to see other work being done, but it would be nice to focus on getting the tracks all updated and released then moving on to experimental works. With there being 2 different version to work on right now, why not focus all the time and energy into getting 1 version and getting the physics completed already. Good new but also sad news.

I am glad to see progress with LFS, no matter how small it may be. Keep bringing us updates.

Oh boy. Let me elaborate since it was clearly misunderstood. The game is still being developed in the form of tracks, cars, graphics, and physics.

If you think this is a complete/finished game, LOL.

Quote from Shirtkicker :LFS is the only finished game, racing or otherwise

When did LFS get labeled as a finished game? Was I under a rock when S3 or V1.0 came out? Damn.

That's why everyone has a settings menu in-game to adapt to its own machine Thumbs up

Pointless because we are still catering to Windows XP.

Quote from hereticlohani :nVidia update 355.60 was released yesterday; installed it and it looks like the problem is solved, though I haven't tested LFS thoroughly. I will report back when it is certain. nVidia users should update their drivers.

I would look at reinstalling/updating drivers.

You could even make a new seperate LFS installation and test if that corrects the issue especially since you said other games play fine

Try a clean LFS install before you blame LFS again please.

LFS may or may not be the problem, but without more information it's basically guess and check right now.
