Wow, this, together with the barrier-liftoff-fix makes me want do some Sumo coding again. Now, if we could only get a way to detect when a car is upside down or on the side (angle relative to the track)
I assume multiple IS_CON packets are guaranteed to be received in correct order? If not, some sort of timestamp would be useful. Actually, when I think about it, that might be useful anyways.
Either way, excellent work. Nice to see our requests are being heard.
Yes, your improvement suggestion is much better and much more important than other improvement suggestions, so this suggestion must be in the General LFS Discussion section instead of the Improvement Suggestions section.
Totally agree. It's quite clear to me that the devs don't have much respect for the community at all. Not just because the lack of progress reports and complete silence, but also because the way both the Scirocco and Rockingham were revealed. Instead of the devs announcing it here first, we had to find out from a 2nd source before they (probably had too) announce it officially (and it was quite obvious we had to find out anyways since these were public events). http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=47145 http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=61582
Sure, as it's been said a thousand times before, they do whatever they do in whatever way they want, but they couldn't even give us THAT much?
So in theory I can set up 15 hosts and ban someone I don't like from all of them, and they are globally banned?
Or do they actually have to be on the server for the ban to "count"?
Some things make you gay, thats just how it is.
Like driving a Miata, or hate seeing tits.
But writing a poem is manly as beer,
Unlike comming from Belgium - that just makes you queer.
I'm pretty sure [noobs] will never re-open the sumo server again.
I once had a plan to release the sumo source code to the public. But since that requires an effort, it will probably never happen. Besides I already gave it away to someone, but I can't remember who
PM me if you really really want it and I will probably maybe send it to you if you promise to hold your breath while you wait.
I don't get it. Why all this talk about torque when it comes to shiftpoints? To accelerate as fast as possible you want as much power as possible, not torque? And a powercurve is (more or less) linear, so the optimal shiftpoint is always at the peak of the powercurve. If you shift before this point, there will be power in the powerband you'll never use, and after the shift you will end up at a lower point on the curve than if you shifted later. Whats the point of that?
You will NEVER be able to drive safer without ABS in real life situations, because the way brake systems and ABS works. For example, you can't distribute brake force between right and left wheel without ABS, a (modern) ABS system do. And in an emergency situation your instincts will tell you to STOP! and you will apply full braking power. Some things just can't be practised.
So people claiming they are safer drivers without ABS either got a defective ABS system or a defective brain. Since you were driving an american car (and yourself being canadian, not american) I'm assuming the former is the case.
