I think the admins are perfeclty capable of picking the best teams for the remaining 9 spots. It's not only about speed, but maybe even more about dedication to the IGTC. So I guess teams will not only be taken for their speed, but also for their stability and motivation to race.

Still I managed to miraculously drive there in 2008.

We learned at an early age that cheating sucks

But seriously I think he was just frustrated he couldnt get to the times Ray/Nils/Marco drove, wich were only 2/3 tenths away. One way or another, cheating is never the solution.

I've watched the replay and IMO it's c4R Jörgen K.'s fault. The accident with mosseman seems like a race incident to me, but Jörgen K. never takes back abit of throttle while he see's the accident happening. Driving in to the side of Kirill D. seems plain stupid to me

Alright, I still wanted to make a point stating that orientating to the car besides you instead of in front is absolutely not the way to go.

First of all I've noticed a lot of people already having trouble doing 2 things: maintaining a constant low speed and wachting out to not bump anyone. If u add to that looking to the side to watch if you are not in front of the guy beside you, the start will become more dangerous. Multitasking just isn't a guy thing.

Secondly, if Andre has to use Marco as orientation he might have to use his brake, what can lead to a chain reaction and ultimately crashes. Like on the backstraight this last race. Tough the situation is very different it shows what a chain reaction can lead to.

Last but not least, the number 4 will become the little bitch of the number 3. Really if the number 3 wants to look out for some hot chicks on the way to the start there will be no pressure from behind. He can just take some distance to create the ultimate situation for himself, starting at even numberd positions will become something to avoid.

Besides that, with this example Marco is only in 4th place on the actual track position. Racewise he still is in 3rd. I'll try and explain this using an example from my work at the karting track.

This is the way the startinggrid has to be, but in the 4 years I work there never has anyone kept his second position after the start. Why? Becasue racewise he's in 3rd. This is the exact same thing what happened with the start in South City, yes Andre was in front, but since he's on the outside line he'll never have a run for 3rd in the first corner.

If this will be such an issue in the future, it would be better to do a single file start, but thats half the fun right?

Quote from Jay :na seriously, i´m in third position - at least I should. so the fourth has to stay behind the third? something wrong what that? I thought that´s the position the following driver should orientate by?

well looking to the side to orientate and avoiding a crash with the guy infront seems quite impossible, I never ever used the guy beside me to orientate with a rolling start :/ you know that somebody has the inside line so that is something to take into account, like Andre did. I don't see a problem.

Quote from joshdifabio :03 Roque was clearly too close to 01 Mooney at the start

No no, Marco is too far away from zock. Imo André is doing nothing wrong, he's just on the ass of Ray as he should be.

Protest against #12 (High Fidelity) by #35 (F1RST Racing GT2)
• Lap 60 for us (63 for the leader)
• #35 and #12
• Lap 60 / Sector 2 (turn 9) / 43 seconds into the lap
• F1RST GT2 (#35) was moving aside to let High Fidelity (#12) pass, though clearly leaving enough space team #12 slammed into the side of our car causing damage (and me pulling my wheel of the table ).

lol, such a waste of your money buying fire resistant clothes for karting if your kart catches fire you just step out of it, there's no possible scenario where I can think of that will prove the usefulness of fire resistant clothing for karts. The only reason I can think of is beeing metrosexual, nomex usually has quite a tight fit.

For the average karters: just bring your own helmet (if you have one), to avoid wearing a helmet that smells after sweat. Maybe a pair of karting gloves will to the trick of looking pro and avoiding blisters.

I can rent somebody a pair of gloves if he wants to, only 5€ a heat (€20 deposit)
