That first version reminds me of a combination of Stunt Car Racer and the original Test Drive. Looks kind of funky but it was probably a good test bed for the physics before they plunged time into the core presentation of the game.

Interesting stuff, didn't know they started the project so early on.

If what you mean is you want to go into a store and buy one in person, then good luck really. Most places don't stock them but you may get one of the larger chains to order one in for you. John Lewis/Currys Digital and the like.

Yep very nice, oh I see a lot of places saying the UF is a Mini? I always thought it was some sort of Renault 5, (well at least the UF GTR looks exactly like one)
