Quote from BBO@BSR :It was a good race

but in german TV (I had the feeling that) they showed 90% of the time Alonso or Schumacher. So it was a bit boring to watch sometimes (looks like 2 drivers doing hotlaps for themself)

RTL sucks big time.

Nah don't think it is a big famous driver either tbh - than they probably would show off with having Damon Hill driving in their show or something like that ??

Quote from Mbrio :A more topical thread title would have been advisable... Something along the lines of "Turning off EAX may improve performance."

"Found one performance leak" can imply there's something wrong with LFS in this regard, which if I'm not mistaken, isn't the case.

Just offering some words of reason

agreed

Quote from nikimere :Yes! One of my classes is called Media Technology & Design.... what that has to do with Game Films i dunno! But it's damn cool!

I do full time communications & multimedia design - so it seems we share interests

Um will wouldn't it be better if you just have someone in here designing the stickers and logos you want and the vinyl and you take those to the nearest shop which can make the vinyl stickers for you from the graphics you provide them with?

If that is what you intended to say, i'm sorry that i didn't understand, but this is what is most logical to me.

For everyone who can't start the demo: go into RSC GTL forums for more help, there are multiple solutions.

The MAIN problem though is the shaders level, when you configure gfx in the 3d thing in windows before starting the game, load dx8 or dx7 shaders instead of dx9, those will most likely help getting rid of the problems

Quote from Horseman :
Kid is right, but truth is only some make that extra step to push simracing forward.

yup, but I think we all agree that that's the case at all platforms of life, there is always only a small core fighting for improvement, in any situation - thats how it is

Now i don't know this tool yet and i don't know what your capabilities are, but here is an idea:

Once you know that you're driving a league, something like a reminder system.

I sign in at the LFS Example League Site, and i get accepted. Now at their site i can choose wheter or not i want to have the program "example@name" made by anyone, which i have installed in windows, reminding me of when i need to go to track. Because especially when driving more then one league or being totally busy 24/7 - that could come in usefull.

All of a sudden in the middle of being working: "ping" - the above mentioned pop up like msn style saying: you've a league race in 1 hour at Blackwood GP in the Gti at your league server. (league server being typed as the name of the server of your league). Then at the same time under that little info block: "click here for more details" and it will tell you who is online already doing practises or what are the actual pb's of your rivals etc etc

Whatever - probably a useless idea, or I'm just ahead of my time?

Quote from Scawen :

I know Phil's aim is to sell magazines, not copies of LFS. But can he have realised quite how negative it looked to anyone reading?

Ofcourse he can, as he's a professional writer who knows exactly what it takes to get people attracted to reading his stories till the last letter. It doesn't really matter what he writes, as long as people enjoy reading it or are interested about his opinion on the subject he writes about, his aim is achieved
