Quote from Straightsix :I've driven Road Atlanta IRL and on a couple of games. IMO, those iterations aren't done very well. The version of Road Atlanta for rFactor isn't very good. The turn 3 and 4 and the esses feel all wrong. Forza2 did a little better, but there are a couple of key areas there that feel really bad.

The problem, imo, with real tracks in video games or race sims is that the driver is essentially driving someone's interpretation of that track. I doubt that any of the available race sims/video games get RL tracks right as a result. I haven't driven iRacing, and likely won't for some time, so I can't speak to the realism of those tracks.

Yes, I spent about an hour getting rfactor on and getting the proper stuff in place to run Road Atlanta. And you're right. Turn 1 isn't right, and the spacing between 2-3 isn't right, and the elevation change in the esses isn't right either. Looks like I'll just be wishing for the future is all, and will need to go get my track fix at the track instead of online

Thanks guys!!

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Yup.

And not forgetting, there are more car/track combinations than I care to remember! It'd be a very long time before you've truely tried all the combinations that are already availible.

Quote from tristancliffe :But as they are very similar, the choice of 'different' tracks returns to about 25, counting the few largely different combos and reverse tracks. And even a lot of those are in the same environment (Aston), which isn't as exciting on the 5th or 6th combo there.

Well, the point was more to race on tracks that I've actually driven on in real life, or tracks I plan to drive on in the not so distant future.

OK, fair enough. I like LFS, so I'll continue to play, but are there any other PC games, besides rfactor, that have some of these US tracks??
I'm not sure what section this belongs in but... [is there any mod content?]

Are there other tracks or cars that we can download for use with LFS? I know rfactor has a TON of tracks and cars, but I just can't stand playing that game. I like lfs LOTS more, but want to be able to drive on some of the home tracks that I've driven before (Road Atlanta for one), or cars I've driven before.

Does anybody have a map of the autox tracks? Far too hard to navigate in a car. Or, are there any shorter autox courses?
Hello, Logitech Momo problems

Hi everybody. I'm having problems getting my Logitech Momo setup. I've viewed the wiki, I've tried to set it up from what I've found on this website, but all to no avail.

I have 2 issues. 1st, and the biggest, is that it will not allow me to assign throttle and brake controls. I can set the axes properly, LFS see's the inputs, but when I go to assign the pedals under Controls, it does not recognize either pedal when I try to assign throttle and brake.

Also, I can not figure out how to recalibrate the steering wheel. It's not a wheel issue, the wheel self-centers fine, but center is off in LFS.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Could you by chance let us know how you got it working? I am having the exact same issue with my new Logitech Momo wheel. It will let me assign axes properly, but will not let me recalibrate the steering, which is way off, and will not let me assign throttle/brake inputs. HELP!!!
