Well, we've seen that their passions is definitely not MP... due to state of it in start - and now.
And how it's done.
And everything about it.

Anyone knows/tried if it works with Nvidia 3D Vision?

Quote from Bmxtwins :MP is not perfect but it is quite nice. If they had league forums it would be much better.

No - MP is horrible in AC.
Yes, I like AC, it feels great and it's fun.
But MP is horrible as is atm. And worst of it - I don't see them doing much about it either.

Quote from Boris Lozac :Absolutely mental this car, wonder if it's really this wierd to drive irl.. doesn't give much feedback, bounces all over the place, still a massive trill on the ring.. dat whine!

IRL it's apparently even better!

Not really.
Pyramid scheme is pure fraud system.
Bitcoin is more similar to regular stock exchange.

Not really 'years' late. From February to April I managed to pay off my R9 280x card
But now, it's not profitable at all...

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :How come you run it at 110 instead of 120?
Do you find that fixes the minor ghosting issues? (trees against a bright sky etc)

It doesn't resolve ghosting completely, but it definitely does help against it (it's noticeable difference).
That's main reason I run it at 110Hz.

I always used v-sync, but I did have weird 'jitter' problems.
Capping FPS to 55 fixed it for me! It's butter-smooth now!

Note: using 3D Vision @110Hz, so 55Hz is half of that.. or 55fps

Unfortunately, you aren't crunching any usable data.

And who is paying you?
People who think investing it it might bring them $$$$.

Good thing about is, you can profit from it.
Bad thing is - if you are one of 'investors' you might lose money. Or 'earn' some.
Though more likely first one

Quote from DANIEL-CRO :This game is one huge bug.

Start race crashes LFS, end race crashes LFS
Start race and this UAC thing for running .exe appear.
WIN+D to desktop, mouse is locked to middle of screen, great

Posting on AC official forums with BUG will yield more help than posting here...

Scawen, do you maybe plan to add Nvidia 3D Vision support in LFS too?

While it works absolutely great as is, having ingame options for it maybe wouldn't be a bad idea?
Or it's too complicated/Nvidia requirements?

@whateveryes: First of all, many people don't understand what DDoS is. Unfortunately, including you.

DDoS = Distributed Denial of Service (attack)

Initially the way it 'works' is to flood a service with so many requests, so it cannot process it and starts dropping/denying most requests, basically making it useless to end user.

DDoS is *not* simple flood attack!
While it may generate extra network traffic, DDoS attack is *not* just a TCP flood attack.
It relies on server holding service to be overflooded, not network itself.

Firewalls will *not* help you at all with DDoS.
DDoS attacks are exactly that - *distributed* attacks, which means you receive attack from several (thousands) of sources.
There are no rules possible in firewall to prevent that.

What can help you are IPS systems, which can detect anomaly in TCP traffic, and block those attacks.

With DDoS you will *not* be able to easily detect source - as source is hundreds/thousands of IP adresses.

What most people see in many cases here is not DDoS, but simple DoS attack, originating from one IP address.. who tries to do.. something stupid.

Quote from cargame.nl :It's not 120 Hz, wouldn't buy it. No clue why they attached a 3D tag to it, it's just an ordinary monitor.

Probably works for movies but not for (future) gaming.

It is 3D monitor, but unlike 120Hz ones which require active glasses, this one is passive 3D monitor.
This means it's 60Hz, and 3D picture is interlaced (1st row for left eye, 2nd for right, 3rd left.. etc).
Picture is polarized, and thus you need passive glasses for it.

This type of monitor probably works also with ATI solutions for 3D.
With Nvidia you can also use other custom drivers for 3D on that type of monitor.

Nvidia 3D Vision works since it's been released with LFS, and it works absolutely perfect (I can't play LFS anymore without 3D).
It's good though to give this option for other people via SBS option

It should work just fine, since Nvidia 3D Vision works great too (and tbh... couldn't play LFS anymore without it! )

Nope, message is shown ingame too.
And it's probably set to something like 100 physics objects or so.
And you cannot set it locally for your PC (ie. increase it) - reason is you could hit a tyre or some other 'movable' object which would alter your path, while it may show for a fraction of second differently on someone else PC if they had lower threshold for number of physics objects (ie. they wouldn't see that object).

Some people hate 'em because:
  • Drifting on race servers is a no-no, and often cause of ruined races
  • They lack skill to do it
  • They simply don't see point in it
Anyway, reason why to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD4xFDj_Tpw

Quote from MadCatX :Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the last Pentium 4s delivered better performance than SU7300. They have more than twice as high clock speed, same FSB speed and LFS doesn't make any use of multiple cores or SSE4 instruction set.

Clock speed is irrelevant for comparing CPU speeds between different generation/types of CPU's.

As an example is aforementioned P4 @3GHz compared to core2duo CPU at 1.8GHz (forgot which model it was).
Well.. P4 was SLOWER some 20-30%.

Even bigger problem is spool times, which are nowhere compared to real ones.
Overall, turbo 'simulation' is quite basic, and could use some love by devs

You missed my point.
LFS calculates grip based on carcass temp, while ignores surface temp.
However, rubber at surface temp makes contact - so that one should be used too.
