Has anyone gotten this to work with a gamepad? I'm trying the xbox 360 gamepad and can't get the axis to work properly. The thumbsticks are stuck to the throttle, and the brake/throttle stay combined even when I select separate. Any recommendations?

I don't have any idea what kind of primer's on it. :P I wasn't planning on doing the paint first since it's been in a garage like that for a long time, and I've moved it into our garage now. So hopefully it'll be pretty safe like it is. Eventually when I've saved up some money I'll either start a thread on building it or at least post when it's finished!

The gray one. 1972, has most of the parts it needs with it. It may end up with an 80's Corolla engine/trans, I haven't found out if the current 1275 will run yet.

This is kind of funny to me. For one thing, unless you're a cracker, you wouldn't care about more content for LFS. For another thing, C.A.R.S. is not going to be a very good sim imo. It's just another racing game, and it uses a tweaked version of physics from Need For Speed! That particular NFS was claimed to be a sim, but clearly was not. If you're really interested in sims, you won't give C.A.R.S. another thought. I was interested for a while, but after seeing some gameplay footage I realized it's just a joke. If you're interested in more content then just buy LFS. Or if you don't care about physics and want more content, go get C.A.R.S.

I heard someone mention that they told LFS their CPU clock was running at a different speed and that caused LFS to run at a different speed. Keep in mind that LFS will still have an FPS limit, and that it will actually be lower since it's playing in slow motion. Also I don't have a clue how to do this myself and don't know whether it would be safe so I can't recommend it.

I actually think the shift feature looks cool, along with the rest of the game but definitely won't get it. The stupid always on drm is a killer by itself, as well as the fact that they obviously have no respect for pc users. Sad sad.... I was so excited watching the previews.

I'll take the itunes money. Idk why you all are so opposed to it, I love my ipod.

Just wanted to give a big thank you to Scavier! I've been loving the open tracks since the first test patches came out! For me that's the really big thing. Keep up the good work!

Taken a few days before my first accident. The day of the accident also happened to be the day after I earned Eagle Scout and the day before my birthday. Fortunately noone was hurt, and the other car was almost untouched. My front bumper and front right quarter panel are bent, but fortunately that's it. 1992 Ford Ranger 3.0 Vulcan V6, 4 speed auto Anyways, here's the pics.

Oh, one more thing- It's REALLY a mess right now from commuting to and from my Eagle project. Ordinarily, the stock alloy rims look beautiful! No joke. I'll try and post some pics next time it's cleaned. They are sooo pretty...


One more more thing- I'm planning on dropping a 302 in it at some point. Not sure of the year motor I'll be getting, or even whether I'll go carb/s or FI. It's a couple years in the future.

Ok... couldn't help but edit real quick. Dropping a 302 won't raise the weight by more than 100Ibs, so it'll have 200+hp, 3000 or less Ibs! And of course plenty of torque doesn't hurt. It'll still handle like a brick, but that's ok. It's a truck. Finished for now.

There is no obligation to download any of these test patches. They are exactly that - for testing and bug reports.

Hmm... so let me get this straight. The BL rally sections are no longer accessible in the open track configs? If so may I ask why this was done? I really don't see a reason to, it makes the open configs useless for BL, doesn't help anyone afaik, and just takes a fun option away. Not trying to offend, but I won't be downloading Z33 if this is the case. Still happy with Z28 and Z32 for now.

Since noone else here has said it, the HD apps for iOS are just apps optimized for 4th gen devices (higher graphics than the earlier devices can handle). Originally HD apps referred to apps for the iPad, so it's a little confusing now that there are HD apps for ipads only, and HD apps for 4th gen devices only. I know this isn't a serious thread, but I had to say it. lol While I'm here actually, can you use a 2nd gen iPod shuffle as a game controller for LFS? My keyboard on my gaming computer broke so it would be great if someone could help me with this since I srsly can't drive mouse worth a flip.

True, I was really happy when it was re-released since I never even bothered trying to unlock S1. It's fun to go back to the knife-edged physics but it does ruin my S2 driving. lol New sig!

Ok, since Scawen hasn't actually commented I thought I might as well put my guess in here- There will probably be a test version for our Christmas present, and if nothing shows by January there probably won't be anything for a long time. What do yall think?

Hi all, please don't hate or flame I would just like to put a simple request out there since we can't PM Scawen. Yes, I know there are threads speculating about this kind of thing but I thought it would be more effective to just have a nice request. If you're reading this Scawen could you please give us a short summary of how things are going with development of the next patch and if you have the time, when the test patch/es are coming? If I'm not supposed to put this here then feel free to delete. I'm not even good at LFS and don't play it enough but I'm still curious. Merry Christmas to all!

It really is for me. Keyboard is physically impossible, and my MOMO wheel (I don't know if it wasn't set up correctly with the game or what) the slightest throttle movement would send the car spinning even if you're trying to go in a straight line or driving conservatively. Of course, that was only a test patch.
