Round 3 : Ritonbourg Raceway Reverse

For the last round of the 2025 Summer Tour, it's time to get on the serious countryside things for what the Lemon Cult exist. With a 6.3kms track using Westhill's countrysides road, for more than a 3 minutes lap, it's safe to say we can't make it more in the topic of the car than that.

This round will have a pre-qualification lasting 2 weeks until the race day, the 4th August 2025 at 7:00PM french time (CEST).
Then 2 hours later, we will go into racing at 9:15PM (CEST).
We will have 2 races of 5 laps each. First race's grid will be set per pre-qualifications' results. Meanwhile the second race's grid will be set using the race 1's results in reverse under reservation to have seen the checkered flag of the race.

Let's finish this summer tour in style!

Huuuhhh, I think this topic deserve a update, right? Big grin
Indeed in 2011 I was happy to say the team turned 4 years... A month ago, it just reached the majority as DLV would say, because the FSR Team is now 18 years old... Crazy to think 2 more years and it's the 20 years mark that's going to hit us straight in the face! Big Eye And what's more impressive is to have been active for these 18 consecutive years! The only french team to do so Wink

What's up since 2011? Well at first, a lot of races, more especially contributing into LFS France's survival, we didn't missed a single season since 2010 included. Our member list has changed a lot and it's indeed more international, helped by our friendship with [RC] Reality Cruise (it's now like RC is FSR's cruise division and the opposite, FSR is RC's racing division Big grin )
Nevertheless, we are still counting some OG members in the crew as Alex, Bizo, Zenki, DLV etc that were here already in the early 2010s era.
Of course our main activity is still racing in the french league called "Ligue FR", meanwhile you can also see us racing in our rivals/friends' cup : NFR Cup, GUM Garage events, now Antiaris Racing, also racing with our "neighbor" friends at CESAV, but you can also find most of us doing various activities into LFS' servers, with or without the tag Nod

Round 2 : Westhill RX by LFS France

The second round of the Summer Tour will leave us into Westhill Karting National track into open track configuration, but this time, we will use the track as a RX style rallycross layout, with a joker lap.

This round will have a pre-qualification lasting 2 weeks until the race day, at 7:00PM french time (CEST).
Then 2 hours later, we will go into racing at 9:15PM (CEST).
There will be 5 races :
-2 semi finals (6 laps)
-2 finals (7 laps)
-1 bonus race (8 laps)
Every racer will attend 3 of these 5 races => 1 semi, 1 final and the bonus race.
Indeed, after the pre-qualification is done, the grid will be split into 2 part as it follows : Odd numbers (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc...) will race for the semi final 1 while even numbers (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc...) will race into the semi final 2. The top 3 (or more according of the attendance in the event) of each semi final qualify into the final, meanwhile the drivers not qualified for the final, will compete their final position into the small final. The small final will happen and then the final, and once they've raced, we will conclude the event with a bonus race : everyone on track, reverse grid from pre-qualifications, and may the best warrior survives the chaos!
Important note : During every race, you have to pass at the Joker Lap once, you can see the joker lap's path into the map : it's the light grey route between the pitlane and the racing route.

Wow, great job! I've been testing it in KY1 and reverse, i'm very amazed, it's easy to take it in hand and very fun. There is 99% of chance i'll be using it for our league finale round on oval next year Big grin

But i have only one thing that i didn't liked : There is no speed shown on the dashboard, then when entering the pitlane, you have no idea how fast you are going and prone to get a easy d/t or s/g penalty D:

Otherwise it doesn't hide the quality work, congrats!

A quick reminder for those who are looking for the summer tour on gcomp : you have to change the championship category on the top right of the site, there is a rolling menu where you can pick between our various leagues.

Round 1 : Westhill Oval by Papator

The first round of the 2025 Summer Tour will bring us into Westhill Karting National track in a open config. Thanks to Papator, this custom config will be using a layout setting the track as a little speedway with 4 corners.

This round will have a pre-qualification lasting 2 weeks until the race day, at 7:00PM french time (CEST).
Then 2 hours later, we will go into racing at 9:15PM (CEST).
We will have 2 races of 25 laps each. First race's grid will be set per pre-qualifications' results. Meanwhile the second race's grid will be set using the race 1's results in reverse under reservation to have seen the checkered flag of the race.

Good day everyone!

Here we are, the summer is about to knock at our door in 3 days... The beachs, the deckchairs, the parasols, the unfinishables evenings' barbecues... The French League is evidently entering into its summer break, but for us, there is no way we're going to leave our wheels, because here comes the 2025 Summer Tour! Open your barn, undust your seigniory and let's go for another crazy open! This year, we were hoping for the graphic update... Infortunately, it didn't came, and for the moment, we decided it was best to camp 2 months at Westhill to welcome you.

At the menu, 3 crazy rounds as per last year's! We will start the 7th July with a come back into Papator's Oval at WE5 with two races of 25 laps. Two weeks later, the 21st July, we will inaugurate a new custom rallycross track, still on WE5! At the menu, every driver will participate at 3 of the 5 races planned for this round, for respective durations of 6 (semi finals), 7 (finals) and 8 laps (bonus), without forgetting the unavoidable Joker Lap. And then to conclude, what's better to end up in beauty taking profit of Westhill's countryside with the famous RitonBourg Raceway, but in reverse (anti clockwise), with 2 races of 5 laps, the 4th August.

The grids will be defined as usual thanks to the pre-qualifications that will last two weeks until the race day at 7:00PM french time. Take note that the grid of the races 2 from Rounds 1 and 3 will be definided by the races 1's results of these rounds under reservation to have seen the checkered flag. For the RX Round 2, as usual, the pre-qualification will define both semi finals : odd numbers qualified will go into semi 1, and even numbers qualified into semi 2. According to the amount of participants, at least the top 3 of each semis will go into finals, while the elminateds will meet up for a small final, and then, the bonus race with the grid defined by the reverse order from the pre-qualification, with everyone on track!

You can already sign up into gcomp, by picking up "the summer tour" on the rolling menu at the top right of the site, and make your pre-qualification on the server. We hope we can count on you!

Quote from Pukyy : I don't see much use of this for online, since suits are visible like 0.001% of the time.

Not true, more especially if you have a streaming with a incar camera, which is the case for the LFSES.

Oh wow i've never seen this topic.

My first LFS memories, after I discovered the game through the french community of pixel cars called "mangacars.fr" in 2005 thanks to EESA who also teached me a lot about racing, I have finally been able to install it in 2007, where I was joining my friends from this site and the french TMR community (the mangacars reality), we were mostly doing some cruises until we ended up doing races where 99% of the times it was taking a wrong turn and we were ending up doing some stunts all around Blackwood in demo.

I always loved any car related video game related, but what made me fall in love on LFS was the realism of the steering using a mouse, while most the games, even on the PS2 with a joystick i always felt the steering was a "all or nothing". Oh boy the amount of time i've been doing niche parking in reverse, admirating the smooth steering LOL.

I mean, your opinion is understandable. But when the game is called "the online racing simulator", I think you are missing out on an opportunity.

Of course, online experience isn't always that great, more especially if you join any random server, but if you join any leagues that are properly hosted and managed, that will be greatly different.

I'm talking by my experience of both side, as a racer, and as a hoster since I joined LFS France in 2010 and then took the whole management by myself a few years laters, all I can notice is that we are a great group of friends in which it's always fun to be together racing into various leagues and championships Smile

Since 2007, the LFS France community has been organising championship races! After all those years, we're still going strong, pushing to give awesome races with all the resources we have in the game.

How do you join the league?

To join our league, it's very simple! Just follow the tutorial we've made for this in here :
https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/110000-%22gcomp%22-platform-%3A-how-to-use-it%3F

Now, let's talk about how it works on the track! The LFSFrance.org #1 team runs the race combo (car and track). You have between two week and one month to do as many laps as you can to qualify. You can do as many or as few as you like! The qualifying period ends on the race day, 9PM french time. From that moment until the start of the race, you have free practice. At 21:10 CET, the session will end to make the grid. You will have to wait until the organisers tell you to join the grid on the menu. When everything is ready, let's go! For the race, we want to have the cleanest race possible, so avoid as much contact as you can and give the spectators a great battle! You can report any incidents if you feel it's needed. You have to avoid chatting as much as possible.

How do the points work?

You compete for 3 championship, Driver, Team and Nation. Point system is simple, First got 100, second 99, etc... Every driver has three jokers to use per season, which allows them to miss a race or delete some bad results. Team wise, you can have as much team mates as you want, but only the two best of them will score points for the team. Meanwhile for the nations, we take the best results of eache nationality.
It's important to remember that incidents can cost points, but we're doing our best to avoid them!
