Quote from Scawen :Nice to see a dragster approved. I have an improvement suggestion. In version...

Thanks Scawen, its nice to see this mod get the recognition, it was built to be enjoyed by all and be a good representation of a proper dragster.

Good point on the engine rotation, I must say I omitted to confirm that, so I'll update that soon!

Quote from Tomfuel :very good car, very good look, engine sound is great
but it is clipping too much !!
we plan an event at Gum Garage with your car, could you fix it please by reducing the volume

please : do not change the sound, it is very great

thanks

Thanks very much, happy to hear its going to get used for racing, thats what it's there for Smile

I have reduced the volume so that the clipping is much less, hope its better for you now!

Really cool mod, just needs to have the suspension corrected in my opinion. Mk2 has macpherson strut up front and a solid rear axle, essentially trailing arm

Even with almost none caster angle it's easy to slide ;p

Thanks man, nice to hear someone is enjoying it, I feel like this mod hasn't gotten that much love and I am not sure why, its certainly different to the host of usual mods, but I guess everyone has their own preference

Cool idea, please fix the front suspension, your offset and stuff is messed up, aim for -0.030 scrub

Thats really impressive man, well done for giving it a shot, it goes to show that in life you will never know if you don't try, the worst someone can say is "no"!

Awesome, can't wait to test it out again!

Really really nice mod this! Just one thing, I think the front offset needs to be adjusted to bring the scrub value down, if it could be around -0.030 it would be great

Was fun and tense at the same time, thanks!

Sup dude, mod looks great but the front suspension needs work. You have waaaay too much offset and that has caused positive scrub which causes violent torque steer and bump steer. Change your lower control arm points and control arm length to keep the track width the same but reduce the offset so that you have around -0.030 scrub, it will make a massive improvement

Quote from Scawen :Seriously, please use the test patches.

We are getting near to the official version. The test patches need testing.

EDIT: I think anyone who is interested in making mods should read through the list of editor changes and hopefully try them out.

Thanks Scawen, I have been nervous about using the test patches due to the fact that they aren't official updates and might result in crashes or corrupting mods. My time to do any testing that is worth while is also limited so didn't think I am of much use to your development work

Quote from Scawen :You can do that in the vehicle editor since Editor Test Patch D28.

A new button to show the view from driver's eye position

https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/102626

Oh cool, I haven't been using the test patches so didn't see this. Are you nearing an official update for Editor yet?
M3THANOL

Not sure if this has been suggested before but I think it would be great if the LFS Editor had an option to sit in the drivers seat in order to determine what the look and feel of the drivers position is without having to export and then enter LFS and test there. This would help with rear view and side view mirror position and drivers seat height.

Quote from tanehau-srt :Oh noo, didint realize it goes like that. I will change the rims back. So sorry and tjanks to let me know this.. Didint understand you cannot use rims of mod that allowed deriatives. Is it possible that i can use them in this mod because they look like same rims what mercedes use in dtm back in the days?

I think the whole derivative definition is a bit confusing/ uncertain.
You are welcome to use them, I just like it when people ask for permission first but I understand where the confusion came in.Thumbs up

But this mod is in no way a derivative of the mod given in the link you have posted. A derivative doesn't mean take one or two parts and make a totally new mod, it means you build on/ modify the base mod it is derived from.

Would you care to explain where you got those wheels from? I don't recall ever being asked to make use of wheels from my mods, wheels that I modelled from scratch!

Quote from kostix :Hi!
I seem to not be able to find this mod via the in game's browser. What gives?

Hi
It was sadly removed because it was discovered that the original 3D file was ripped from another game Frown

It's soul lives on in this car, the Plover P2200 (https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/9D271F), just tweaked for the new car's dimensions, give it a try and give it some love in the ratings Thumbs up

Quote from terga :Hmm yeah now that you say it, you're right, slipped my eyes. Easy fix that...

Yeah i made it from scratch. And yeah it's the same kind of engine as the DFX but this particular car was powered by Honda/Toyota in 97-98. Essentially it's the same 2.65 liter turbo V8.

Yeah quick fix Smile

Cool, interesting to see how similar the powerband's are between the engine in this car and the one in my Stupidvan 2 mod, which has the DFX. I see the Honda/Toyota engine makes more power overall but seems to make max power and torque in almost the exact same spot in the rpm range, give or take a few hundred rpm.

Keep up the good work!
