problem with driving force GT.
So, I have had my DFGTW for awhile now, 8 months I think and its worked fine up until now. I plug in the wheel, and it does its usual spin to calibrate. Problem is, it dosent calibrate. It spins again, then a third time sometimes, and then just sits there with the GT light blinking. No force feedback or anything. I go into games and the buttons work just fine, pedals work fine, everything works except it wont steer. Anyone know how to fix this or if it can even be fixed?

Thanks for all the help so far guys. CYS, children youth services, which is the biggest child help service in the states is no help. They go there, her mom plays perfect mother role, they dont take the child seriously, then tell her how the reason her mom does what she does is her fault.

Need help for my girlfreind
I really need some help here. I'm 18 and my girlfriend is 15. I love her very much and I know she loves me. We have been together for over a year and I plan to marry her someday. But heres my problem.
She lives a house were she is treated unfairly and I think it is mentally damaging to her. The problem is that everything her mother is doing to her is legal. There is no physical abuse but she is forced to cook and clean for her mother all the time and is rarely allowed out of the house. Her mother tells her that all the problems she has(her mother) is her fault and if she would just sit down and shut up it would all go away.
Her mother claims that she has a bunch of health problems although I think they are just an excuse for her to be lazy. She has diabetes, Diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, kidney disease, and others that I cant remember the name of. I think if she really had all these she would be bedridden in the hospital hooked up to machines to keep her alive. She says her body dosent produce everything it needs to function which is why she is always sleeping or watching tv. Although she has no problem getting up and going shopping when the time comes but she does no housework and forces it all on my gf.
She justifies the way she treats my gf by saying her mother made her do all this when she was young and its the right way to do things. She is always accused of something which is why she has no liberties. Like she isnt allowed to leave the house because if she does she is either smoking, doing drugs or having sex and normal children dont leave the house.

Her mom is constantly searching her room and her clothes or searching for a diary to read. It seems like alot of people here are talking about legalizing coke, heroine, and other hard drugs along with marijuana. I dont think these should be legalized. These drugs, although fun, are very dangerous. It is not possible to OD on marijuana, yet it is on all other illegal drugs and on most legal drugs. Alcohol should be criminalized, its a dangerous drug with addicting charicteristics and you can OD on that too. Marijuana could replace many dangerous prescription drugs such as anti-depressants, pain killers, and downers. And some of you are still under the impression that it is dangerous. Marijuana, used with a vaporizer, has absolutely no dangerous affects at all. Used without can cause minor respiratory problems. And with cooking with it, again no dangerouse affects.
As for the people who have bad experiences, that can happen to anyone, as with any drug you take. Alot of it can just be the setting your in, a bad setting can cause a bad trip. If this is the case I would suggest trying it again in a better setting.

I dont understand why smoking pot means you need to grow up. It is actually good for you and makes you feel good while you do it. What about those who drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes or other things of that nature? Do they need to grow up too? Considering both are more dangerous I would suggest that you tell them to grow up and smoke pot like an adult.

I think this discussion has pretty much reached its end. It has already been decided that in some cases, drift is faster and in others "grip" is faster. When done right they are are both fast and both fun. Sadly we have drivers like tristan who are an ignorant biased arse that can only see their way and their own opinion. Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but really your acting the same way a racist would. Your way is better and everyone else sucks and looks "silly". And when you said drifting wastes resources and dosent solve anything, what exactly does racing solve? And do you not change tires and use fuel just like every other motorsport?

I dont know how you can drive it like that. I touch the throttle even the slightest bit and the car is doing donuts. Its like driving a suped up BF1 without traction control.
I used to race in BTCC all the time and it was the best racing I have ever experienced. My timezone is definitely the problem. All race servers I can find are usually empty if I am lucky enough to find them at all.

It seems to me that if you want to drive anything except single seaters or low power FWD you aren't racing, your drifting or cruising. I have been looking for a decent racing server for road cars all day and all I see is drift here, cruise here, but you aint racing. The few racing servers I have found are full of ppl who cause a crash in the first 100 meters. Is this a racing sim anymore or a drift and cruise sim?
Angle, as in the angle of the car, or how far sideways it is. In racing you do not purposely, I repeat DO NOT slide the car through a corner, and it has nothing to do with your line.

oh and btw, search drift vs. grip on youtube. You see a race with the two styles from above, dont remember the outcome, all I remember is that the cars are basically side by side the whole time.

I think it would only be proper for a moderator to give some of these people a nice long break so they can think about the way they treat other people.
Drifting, when done wright, can be as fast as racing. It all depends on the driver, car, setup, track, and many other variables. The only difference is that when racing, if you lose your line you can make an adjustment and be on your way. In drifting, if you lose your line chances are you lose your drift, and definitely lose alot of your speed. If you lose your drift you will lose much more time then the racer. So the answer is yes, when done right drifting is just as fast although it requires you to get every corner and every angle absolutely correct where racing does not.
My tires never pop no matter how hot they get. I can sit and do burnouts for 5 minutes before they go. It's odd that they are popping less then a lap in. Maybe you should try different tires. My set never pops but it only lasts for 1-2 laps before they are so bald you cant even go strait anymore.
I suspect being the tires are called Road-Normal, they are normal road tires. The road super are probably street/track tires.
Actually I have seen video of a GT-500 with an Elise on a semi-twisty road. The GT was in front of the Elise but the Lotus still held strong. Only reason the Elise won is because the driver of the mustang spun it. Otherwise the mustang would have won with the Elise right behind it.
If you close your eyes and imagine real hard the XRT comes with monster truck tires.
Honestly I dont know much about the NSX either, It would most likely be close race. I know the GT-500 can beat the Elise. So can the Elise beat the NSX? If it can then we have our winner.
I have yet to compare a viper or ZR1 to a Tacoma or F-150. Actually, I haven't said anything about an F-150 come to think of it. So where you find that comparison I do not know but its not in any of my posts. The 60's and 70's muscle cars are amazing vehicles. Big, beautiful machines that just scream speed. Although those are the cars that Can't turn. Amazing strait line performance, but useless on a road track when stock. Put slicks on them and they grip as well as any car.

Yeah I noticed that to. If you take a 2000 camaro and full throttle it its gonna send u into a tree. Now take the FZ5 which has 40 bhp more and full throttle and ur gonna shoot of like a rocket, tc or not.
I think a truck would be a blast to race. And they really aren't that big and would handle just fine around a race track. As for keeping the "American dream" out of a euro game, whats wrong with American cars? I'm sure your simply following everyone else saying they cant turn because everyone likes to compare 70's Cadillac's to 05 Impreza's and Evo's. May I remind you that the Viper holds fastest lap around the ring, the ZR1 made a time of 7.26 with runflat tires and someone who is not a proffesional race driver.
Oh yeah, and the boys on top gear, who never give an accurate reveiw on American cars because they are so biased, loved the Caddilac CTS-V and the Dodge Challenger. Also loved the Shelby GT-500 and will most likely love the 2010 Camaro thats coming out next year.

BTW e2mustang thats a nice M3. Looks almost the same as the 328i I'm going to purchase. Is it a 98?
Yeah I know that my weight is a bit low. I was not looking for an exact, just a rough estimation. I think it did pretty good even though I know the 328i will be slower. Although being a BMW I'm willing to bet the handling will be even better then that of the XRT. Not to mention I get comfort and luxury along with power and speed.
Ok after more testing with a timer I did find my times to be off. With my limitations, using a timer I got about 6.8 seconds. Without limitations, 4 seconds. which still seems extremely fast to me.
