Quote from r4ptor :I'm glad you like it.

I did the render (beside having time to do it) because the skin appealed to me, so yeah. I like it

Quote from WhackableMole :I think this is just about "on-topic" but the link may be a little tenuous.

I fully understand that it is annoying to be fighting for position and then get punted off into the gravel, but I feel that the atmosphere in some races is spoiled by the angry messages that are sent by the aggrieved.

I will freely admit that sometimes I get annoyed after being punted into the gravel, and also admit that I am sometimes in the situation of the accused whereby I cannot avoid causing someone elses unfortunate demise.

However, it would be nice if some people could just take a step back, put things into perspective and think something along the lines of:

"Oh well, let's just focus on race 2 instead".

It is irritating, but by no means the end of the world. I have also found that as long as you stick with it you can normally pull a podium finish out of the bag simply by putting the T1 experience behind you and putting in some consistent (but not necessarily blisteringly fast) laptimes.

So "a sincere apology" to anyone that I may have been involved in an accident with, and "no hard feelings" to anyone that in turn may have removed me from the race.

Make LFS a happier place to be

I did this after the race and he was like go home noob. I'm not a noob and I explained that all I did was force him wide which was the same as he did to the guy to the left of him and that he actually hit me.

Well the smart thing to do would be to use that server as a qualification for a more experienced server. People with a sub 1:42 lap time can go to the experienced server, above this and you have to stay in the inexperienced server until you can do it.

So I'm in a FXR in an all GTR race on AS3. I'm not new to the came but I'm just coming back and bad so it's the same thing..

Start of the race

'John' gets a bad start to the race and is quickly overtaken by a FXR

He takes a dart down the inside of the guy in 1st which is going to force him out wide and to take the wrong line completely

I think "Hmm, I fancy some of that.." and do the same to him

He hits my rear quarter panel as he tried to be arrogant and take the racing line which he had previously denied to the guy who started 2nd. He then bounced off of me and onto the front of the guy who started 2nd who's car spins him into the gravel.

G25 Used Value

I've had my G25 for about 18 months and love it although I don't really use my PC much anymore for sims/games so I'm looking to sell it soon. However, because of where I leave my G25 for quick access I accidentally run over the USB plug with my office chair. I've straightened it out and it now works perfectly and goes in any USB slot fine. Will it reduce the value if I sell it on eBay or should I just not mention it as it works anyway?

That's confusing.

http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Wheels#Logitech_G25

Quote :One other problem is that the paddles are a solid bar from side to side, with a little flex, unlike 2 separate parts as on wheels like the DFP and Momo, this means that if you upshift (or downshift) in a certain way the shock will go through the paddles and you'll drop two gears in the other direction. Luckily, this only seems to happen if you "flick" the paddles, and provided you keep your hands on the wheel it shouldn't happen.

Logitech G25 and banned

Sitting there on the line on ConeDodgers 1 on AS3. FXR so I'm on the limiter building the turbo up. Proper concentrating on the lights and I smash the paddle shift with my fingers and somehow it goes from N to 1-N-R and I cause a 6 car pile up behind me and I get vote banned for 12 hours.

Is this possibly a bug with the G25 as I've read it somewhere before I believe?

Cheers.

DecalWare Racing Event - Go Karting
DeclanJ
S3 licensed
DecalWare Racing are organising a go karting event for the LFS community to participate in. The go karting track we have chosen to hold this event is Rayleigh Karting in Essex.

We currently only have 7 places to offer as 3 DecalWare Racing members have already reserved places. However, dependant on interest we may be able to book more places.

The track its self is a good one as I have been there myself previously and the layout is below.

All karts have Honda 200cc 4 stroke low emission petrol engines fitted with catalytic converter exhausts.
The centrifugal clutch gives simple two pedal automatic control. For added safety the latest wraparound bumper systems are fitted along with brake lights.

At the minute it looks like we will be opting for their package for between 7-10 drivers which is as follows:

FORMULA SPRINT
(Minimum 7, maximum 10 drivers)
15 practice laps 15 qualifying laps
30 lap final with trophy for the winner

£32 per driver

However, this could change to a different package depending on interest. If more people want to come we can change the package to offer more places but the price might change slightly.

The location is in Rayleigh, Essex. It is easily accesible from a local rail station and also via M25.

Google Maps

At present we only have 3 participants and these are as follows:

DecalWare Racing
We are proud to annouce the creation of a new racing team with a large support from our main sponsor, DecalWare.

We hope to evolve from a small, elite team of dedicated members who will train regularly to a team who will dominate the more professional side of racing in and around LFS.

This is mainly possible due to the donations from our head sponsor, DecalWare Systems. They are providing us with all of the vital components needed to start a racing team such as webspace and a practice server.

Members
We have two founding members for this racing team and they are as follows:

Declan "The Doctor" James #46 - http://www.lfsforum.net/member.php?u=187340
Aaron "The Arsonist" Hambleton #69 - http://www.lfsforum.net/member.php?u=201694

We are also currently recruiting 3-8 Members to complete our small team of elite racers. We also enjoy the more fun side of LFS and have fun drifing.

Sponsor - http://www.DecalWare.co.uk
Our Sponsor DecalWare is a computer systems company currently in development. Their short term goals are to gain business reputation by offering high quality, low priced systems and to satisfy customers. Their long term goal is to dominate in the computer industry and eventually diversify into consumer electronics. We are very grateful of their generous contribution to our team and we aim to keep a strong and happy relationship between both orginisations.

Cars
We currently are aiming to race in FXR's to begin with so therefore this car will be the one we train in most. We will however train in all other race cars.

Our V1 Skin for this car is this:
