Hi Guys Ive managed to break one of the blamps that hols my logitech DFP to the desk this previously wasnt a problem because i used double sided tape ti stick my wheel to my desk but i now have a new desk so will need to be able to move it. Where can i get a replacement??? Or has anyone got a broken DFP or G25 or soemthing they want to sell me one of the clamps.

Im about a mile away and now at 4 oclock in the morning my speed is 2 mb the highest it has been all day.

Hi Guys

At this time of evening from about 6 until about 10 oclock i cant play online on LFS as my internet speed is so slow. I join the server leave the pits by the time i get to the end of the pits i loose connection. My ISP is BT. Here is a link to my latest speed test this is the highedt its been all evening..



Ive rang BT several times about this problem and all i get is put though to a call center and all they do is ask me to tell them some information and say a technical assistant will be in contact with you within 24 hours. The technical assistant rings during the day when my connection is fine. Now this "skilled" technician doesnt understand my problem is at busy times.

Basically im after any advice. In theory the product is not fit for purpose.

Before you say it yes i should just switch to a diffrent ISP. But its not that simple as we also have BT vision which is really good. Dont think i could go back to normal freeview.

Did some morework on the pc stripped it down and removed the HD racking and installed the front fan. I drilled a large hole in the mobo tray to route some wires around the back as you can see from the pics......

Started taking stuff out....

Drilled out the pop rivets to the hd rack

Fitted the fan and pop riveted the hd rack back in....

Next i drilled a round hole in the mobo tray to route some wires though. Used some U trim stuff i had in the garage i did sand the hole and it was loverly and smooth but i thought ide just be safe....

Also cut a slot for the wires to run though....

I run a benchmark on AMD overdrive. But ive now removed the overclock and it hasnt done it since but it did take me 4 attempts to get it to do it for the video.

CPU runs at 30 degree's idle and GPU runs at about 55 under load.

I got a radeon 4850 for 60 pound granted i dont have a bog std CPU etc but i can run LFS at 500FPS

I never turn my main room lights off so it never seems that bright. And the only reason its in the middle of the room is ifi push it into my desk it reduces air flow. Can defently think of alot more ugly cases that this. I just like its simple lines no horrible cr*p

I opted out of this and went for the akasa vortexx neo decreaced my GPU temp by 12 degree's super dupa cooler highly recomended.

Well got my RAZER tarantular and deathadder today and wow what can i say awsome keyboard nad mouse!!! love it highly recomended.

Get on s2 learn how to keep a UF1 on the track then move to the XFG learn to keep that on the track. Then go to a reasonable server that races XFG and just drive around when you get behind someone just follow them brake at the same time as them take the same line and follow them you will soon learn. Naturally pic a good driver. Thats how i learnt how to drive i did this constant for about 3 months with the FXR around Aston North on Conedodgers 1 my average lap time was 1.55 i did this after about 2 months i was keeping up and overtaking the guys i was provisionally following. Hitting low 1.42's consistantly one a second off the WR.

Well ive been runnign the system for a while now and i found the GPU was getting warm andso was the CPU. So i bought a vortexx neo cooler for my 4850 which is fitted pics below.... And ive just ordered a artic cooling 64 pro as my cpu is running at 50 degree's at idle and pushing 65 70 on full load. Also decided to order a corsair 650watt power supply as ive forked out so much money on a good rig i dont want it to be destroyed by a cheap PSU.

Pics so far hopefully the new PSu will help the tidyness of the wiring. Also why do they put floppy disk power connects of PSU's any more does anyone use floppy disks anymore? I havent in about 10 years.

Well update ive just ordered the Razer tarantula keyboard and the razer deathadder mouse cheers for the advice guys.

Looked into the razer deathadder and i do like the look at it read the reviews more and it does look good and im very tempted.

But the razor keyboards look a bit cr*p unless you want to pay lots of money the one linked above does nothing that my std keyboard doesnt do also it has low profile keys which i hate. I like chunky keys.

Im happy with my keyboard and mouse at the moment but both of them are nothing special ive got a STD HP wireless keyboard. None of the hot keys ork on it anymore as i dont have a HP pc so there just a waiste of space. Also got a cheap labtec mouse which i find comfortable. But as ive just spent near on 500 quid upgrading my pc i thought i should get a good gaming mouse and KB. any suggestions on a diffrent keyboard.

Just bought this cooler for my HD4850 and it says on the akasa website that i will require some aditional heatsinks for Memory chips can anyone recomend me any? How many will i need? HELP!

Ive been on there 7 or 8 times now and ive only finished one race there without being rammed into on the first corner or people just not braking. I used to race on conedodgers everyday and it was awsome only ever had a few run ins with people and most of them where just racing incidents. Last time i was on AMG i said i wouldnt be back and im going to stand by that.
