At first I thought it was a Genesis G70 (I own a 2022) but then realized it was a CT5-V which is a very similar car.

Was this modeled after the ct5?

Quote from Van Sterberkt :It's actually the same for all cars; load the car and click the 'edit engine' button. Be sure that you're in the editor, not in the modeller.

But since you did find it for base cars, is there anything different for modded cars for you?

The problem is, when I export it, I take the .eng file and override the .eng file for the mod cars and it doesn't change anything.
Can't seem to mod engines on mods

So I figured out with the editor tool how to edit the base LFS cars, but not mod cars. I want to tweak the horse power and such of them.

How do you edit the engines HP/Torque on modded cars? I noticed the .eng files are strictly sound files and I am having a tough time figuring out how to save/import from the editor.

Quote from ACCAkut :I mean, even if you "import" them from somewhere, at some point an artist must have made these 3D models. You can't just import a CAD model from like the car manufacturer as the type of model is much too different. So yes, every car model you see in a game somewhere has been handmade by an artist at some point. The original LFS cars were all done from scratch by Eric I suppose, same as the tracks.

Good mods are made entirely from scratch by hobbyists, with no commercial model as basis. Needs a lot of work and time, no question. I made 4 full car mods from scratch (for Assetto Corsa), and roughly needed a year of leisure evening modelling per car.

As such, as you can imagine, we the "true modders" don't quite like people just usíng whatever model they can find and presenting them as their own. I know this sounds snobbish, but compare it to a musician writing his own music and someone just copying beats, melodies and lyrics from unmarked sources.

I don't have the skills to create from scratch but could definitely import and edit. I was curious for myself not making for public

Are people hand-drawing these entire cars? I feel like you'd have to import the model from somewhere

Quote from Flame CZE :In LFS, in the lobby screen, go to Mods, find the car in the list of mods, click it and it will be downloaded automatically for you.

What lobby screen? I don't see anything under the main menu

Why on earth can't I figure out how to download this?

I got a quick question. I am building a dedicated LFS Machine (main rig has a 2600K @ 4.5GHz and a GTX 780 Lightning) with 3 1080p monitors. If I remember, LFS requires next to no power. I am thinking about grabbed a Pentium G3220 with an R7-250 or GTX 650. Should that be sufficient even for max detail, or should I grab an R7-260x? Can't find an official system requirement/recommended list.
Thanks

Quote from agm_ultimatex :nice man. Mine is around 10.40-.50 with the FXR. I have hit just under 11 with the XRR before.

On my 10.20's run it is sooo hard to control, after 135 if i dont close the throttle its bad b/c no downforce. Less weight tho.

I can actually pull and hold a wheelstand till about half way thru 2nd gear w/ a setup that runs 10.80's

On a non indy-type car what is your fastest 1/4 mile? With the FZR i am doing 10.20's. The issue is from 10.35 to 10.20 i take off the downforce and boy is it ugly at 130+, i usually crash at the end if i dont brake asap. I am willing to challenge any nonformula 1 car to a drag anytime, tell me the time and place, i wanna see how fast ppl can rly go.

If i tack it up to like 2-3k and feather the clutch it just dies.

No, the issue is if i bring it up to like 2k, and i slowly slip the clutch even, the motor dies(wish it would stall lol) but in a realistic sense, ive only driven a stick twice, the spot for most cares isnt 5k rpm...
Is the clutch being worked on?

Ive read a few posts and heard that in up and coming patches the clutch will be able to "stall". Only issue is, unless i tack it up to 5 grand and slip the clutch it will literally die. Will it be changed to where u can tack it up to like a real car?
