Quote from NitroNitrous :What are supposed to be its roots? TOCA?

Codemasters have labelled it as a 'spiritual successor' to the TOCA series, placing more emphasis on open wheelers and tin-top racing cars on permanent road courses, as opposed to road cars on street courses.

So race cars appear to have been replaced by (tuneable?) road cars. There are a few previews lurking around game sites, and some say cockpit view has been axed since 95% of players didn't use it.

It appears this is a remake of the original Most Wanted with Burnout-style gameplay, which is ideal for an arcade racing game.

As said on the NFS twitter page, The blacklist returns with 10 drivers you are competiting against in career mode. The focus is gonna be more on free roam and multiplayer so don't expect cutscenes in the way they were made in MW1. Overall, this looks like the First NFS game actually worth getting since... Most Wanted.
