Thats a VW Gol isn't it? Its annoying me, it looks like someone cut the back off a Mk6 Polo and the front off a Mk3 golf.

On a FWD car new tyres should always go on the back. Understeer is a lot safer for most people than Oversteer.

I agree that is quite true. A few of the girls I know are like that. For example one of them is an absolute COD nerd. And I'm not talking geeky looking girls either. The COD nerd is stunning.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :RESIZE ZE PICTURES PLEASE!

Ahh how on earth did you get the key for it? I went into an Audi dealer, the V10 R8 was locked, asked if they could open it and said "they don't let children in!!!!" PAH.

BMW dealers (at least the one by me)

are quite relaxed about letting people sit in the cars, infact they are all unlocked in the showroom. I tried an E92 M3 and an E90 M3 out for size (the E90 has more headroom and the potential to surprise people who think it is a tarted up 3 series (even if it is a tarted up 3 series :P)) I hope they get a new M5, I wanna try one out.

Quote from Daffyflyer :We'll see how the demo goes, and if we start pre-orders we might be able to devote more time to it and get it done quicker.

Figure the next few months for a public demo and we'll see how we go after that

@Senn - Good thought, I'll make a forum banner if anyone wants to use it

Images can't be used here sadly. whats the eta for the demo? I really really want to try it out, the game looks so epic, and on that note what will be in the demo? Engine designer with say an i4 and body designer with say a single hatchback? But still having the customization options all working.

If I didn't go on pistonheads I probably wouldn't have believed that but since over there people have all sorts of expensive motors. Hell one guy even has a Mclaren F1, wait actually 2 guys have Mclaren F1's it is more believable that people who use the internet are wealthy.

Quote from morpha :Went to visit my mum at work (ultimately to pick her up, not just for fun) thinking I'd draw attention, but when this arrived about an hour after me, it completely stole my thunder (phone pics, sorry):

The carbon vinyl the lower half is covered in looks decent actually, not nearly as rough a surface as it looks. Easy to clean too, apparently. I'm not a big fan of the 22s, but they don't completely ruin it either.
It sounds sweet, but I still like my i6 rumble better, especially on the overrun.
Owner is a nice guy, no sign of JDM-vs-USDM/Muscle rivalry, just genuine appreciation of special, and here in Austria, quite exotic cars. Best chat I had with another car person in a long time.

And just to comply with the topic title; as she sits outside right now, covered in insects and generally requiring a good cleaning (and a good service I'm ashamed to admit):

wtf are those headlight washers meant to be? Tusks?

Look into getting some that pop up, like this

To be honest the Hazard Perception test is pretty pointless. When you are driving you have to consider everything as a potential hazard. I suppose the test is to catch those out who would otherwise ignore hazards.

so how much are they going to knock off for damaging the front of your car?

Or if they offer to repair it make sure they do a proper job of repairing it and respraying it rather than touching it up.

Quote from Scawen :That is a known problem, and it is due to a sampling error. I've tested it a lot today, you can even get the acceleration if you go into neutral before hitting the bumps. I don't know if this anomaly can be fixed or not, but it doesn't really come up in normal situations so it's not all that important. It's not actually a new problem, it's just that the new speed humps can show up this flaw.

Well I'm sure the UF1 doesn't mind the speed

It isn't really worth worrying about at this point anyway. Its a glitch but it is nothing major like the collisions bug we used to have with the barriers was. Still great job releasing these test patches.

Have a virtual beer, any kind you want

Quote from Scawen :That is different - that case should go OOS.

The bug was that if you drove a replay on the attached layout :
- it worked in "instant replay".
- but if you then tried to watch it from the replay menu, it was OOS.

The speed bumps together like that seem to give the cars a huge speed boost. Got a UF1 well above 100mph by driving over them back towards the starting area.

I tested it straight from the layout you posted in A2,

Real life doesn't have a good sense of speed. Atleast not in my dad's BMW. Feels like you are doing about 70mph then when you look at the speedometer you are doing 110mph+.

Sense of speed completely depends on the car. In the Kia he had before hand at that speed (it almost got there one) it felt really fast but in his 3er it seems like a much lower speed.

The 6 Cylinder Diesels found on the current 3 series amazingly sound alright from the cabin. They sound strangely petrol like inside except at idle. Still sounds like a tractor outside though.
