Quote from Napalm Candy :To me the feeling in iRacing it is not so good. If you try the pontiac solstice (low powered RWD) and go to the centripetal track, try to do drift arround, is IMPOSIBLE to do 1 lap with out a spin or go out. In RL is more easly, so what i feel in iRacing is too low grip when slide/drift, and uncontrolable, that's not realistic

But I'm agree with you in the side load of LFS tyres, is flexing too much

Try drifting in real life on a set of Hoosier R6's like the Solstice has in iRacing, it doesn't work. Race tires snap and are hard to catch in a slide. It's the same as trying to drift one of the GTR's in LFS, very very difficult.

I can't wait to try out the new model. I haven't run LFS in a long while. This is a very anticipated update for me!

Quote from Drift King CZ :Yes, maybe better use Z10. I/we have no problems with OOS... anymore since our server is running on Z10.

The newest dedicated server I seen on the site was Z3. Is Z10 a beta?

I just sent a PM to the admin there who manages our server to see if we had the Z3 patch. Looks like that is the one with the OOS fix. Not sure if we have it or not.

Quote from Daviticus :Another somewhat large bump.

This time I'm having the issue with the server "solo2.k9k.net", an autocross server.

I can get into the pit, but once I click join, it puts me on the start grid, and then boots me, with the :OOS - MPSYS :Initial Synchronization Failed, then attempts to re-connect to the server.

I have noticed that only the host is logged into the server right now, and that seems to be the common between all us with these issues.

I still participate with that server. We've been having problems ever since this latest patch was released. The only way we were able to get on track anymore was to keep a physical connection signed on to that server. I'm not sure what the deal is exactly, shouldn't be a hard fix for the devs.

Quote from danthebangerboy :Do we, as a community, know of any way around it, as i race in the server i am trying to access every thursday in meetings and i really need to practice!

The only fix weve found on our autox server is leaving a person signed into the room. That seems to solve it. But I wish there would be a patch already to address this issue.

Quote from Cue-Ball :That's very strange. On Wednesday the page said that the item had not yet been released. Then yesterday the page said that it was available and in-stock. Now today it says it's not released again.

I'm going to have to check with Amazon to see what's going on, but if they had an item listed as being in stock and it doesn't ship when it was supposed to there will be hell to pay!

hahah sounds like Dell ftw. Good luck with your case though.

Yea just like stated about once I start up LFS and enter my first race I'll have to turn the wheel lock to lock and depress all the pedals. After that everything is calibrated and set to go.

Oh and adamkob32 dont take to much offence to the sig :-p

That's alright, my civic is pre-vtec anyway so no v-tach powwahh for me lol. Thankfully so too as after the 2006 season it will be getting a supercharger, and some stickier tires and I'll move up to the Street Mod class.

Quote from Pootie :Lol,I suppose it has a 18" muffler tip as well,eh?

Actually the exhaust is not very extreme at all. No huge tip. Everything was done with the consideration of saving weight.

None of those videos are of me racing. The only incar and out of car ones I have are the ones from my Saturn. You can check out one of my videos here, let me know what you think

My New Autocross Car!!

Well guys, finally it has happened. I have just purchased my new dedicated autocross / play car. It is a 1991 Civic Si, maxed to the SCCA STS Class rules. I drove it this past weekend for the first time at an autocross in Hershey, PA and what a blast it was (picture below). That was enough to convince me that this is the car I want.

It has a freshly rebuilt engine with only 3,000 miles, and the suspension setup is just awesome. Just figured I would let guys know. Link below is a page compiled by the previous owner, and lists all modifications and more pictures and videos.

I've never seen anyone drift in a car faster then what you can get by racing. You have far more speed going through a turn with full grip.

Quote from Math302ho :The thread is allright direction wise.

It's because your are looking at the right side tire in LFS and left side on my car.

If you take the tire on my car, and pretend that you are flipping it 180 degress to mount on the right side. You will see that the thread is correct.

Those tire doesn't have a left or a right side like other sport tire.. but they do have an inside and outside that need to be respected.

This is why they are not showing the same when mounted on right or left side of car

Hey have you raced on the new Azenis RT-615's yet? They are much better then the RT-215's as far as disappating heat. I made the switch at the beginning of the season. I've been running them at every autocross event this year.

If you come out with a tire for the 615's that would be great. I can get you some very detailed pictures if you need.

How is it installed wrong? Looks right to me.
