This is the WIP thread associated with my SLX141 NORM GP upload. I started working on this car back in March as a way to practice photo match modeling parts. The car is heavily inspired by a car I saw on instagram from a 2005 Battle Magazine issue. Tons of photos ahead.
The Car Produce Endless S14 sports a URAS Type 4 kit, M Sports hood, Origin over fenders and East Bear Mirrors. I decided to change up the over fenders, but the main recipe was already in front of me.
I made the body kit to fit a GT base, then adapted to Kazama's LFS base afterwards (mostly because I intend to make a gumroad at some point and that's the most common fitment)

I think that just about wraps it up. I have some other little parts I plan on making for this car as well, I will probably update the thread if I remember
This is a thread containing all references and progress photos for the making of SLX140 NORM.
I've been wanting to make a personal car for a while, and I've been really itching to mess with SLX140. Spent a while deciding what kit I wanted to make, and landed on Dear Motor Sports. The kit is 90% scratch made, with the 10% being using the original SLX140 front bumper as a bit of a guide to get the wheel well lines and where it meets the grille and headlights correct. Shoutout to pärtan for teaching me a few new tricks and answering questions when I felt dumb. Had a lot of learning just in this kit that I can now use to make the other random obscure body kits that I have references stacked for.
They made two types of this kit, the one that was on their silver demo car that was showcased at a Tokyo Auto Salon a couple times, and the Type 2 that doesn't have cross bars in the front bumper as well as a slightly revised rear lip. The biggest difference is the rear lip having a round, almost contoured exhaust cutout on the Type 1 kit, where the Type 2 has a square cutout.

I was originally going to make a 1:1 rendition of the kit, but after doing the front bumper, I thought it would be interesting to do my own take on the other pieces. I particularly liked the line of the lip on the front bumper, and thought it would be cool to continue that all the way through the kit, whereas the real DMS kit is quite smooth from the skirts back.

I still have a couple pieces yet to do, like the lip spoiler and roof spoiler that are showcased on the demo car, but that will be for a later date. I still have some cleaning up and revising to do on the kit itself, but I would like to make it public for people to use on the AutoHouse Performance Project site.
The wheels used are based on Work Euroline S2 in 18x9 +12ish, made custom by pärtan. With permission, these wheels will be public once the car itself is published.
