Was messing about with skins and found a few issues
· On all configs the mappings of the bonnet flaps they are offset to the rest of the body (examples attached)
· The Toyota config has an overlap on the roof between the functioning flap and a non-functional one (seems to be a mirroring issue?). Hopefully the pics I took are noticeable enough
· A more preferencial issue, but can you make the mapping of the road config's center pillar/fin (red in the pic) more noticeable or bigger? Took me a bit to realize it was that dot on the bottom right hidden
· The indicator blinkers don't work on the headlights, but they do on the rear and the mirrors. This applies to all configurations
· The "stock" steering wheel is kinda flat so it floats in the air like vanilla LFS cars
· No skin template/mapping
EDIT: forgot to mention. When I flash the high beams the dashboard gauges go black when lights are off. Doesn't happen if side lights or low beam is on
I noticed the "white" front indicators are missing from said configurations, and there is wheel1 and wheel2 configs but switching between them I can't see any change.
Maybe it is easier if I name an example: Flame CZE's Radix P6 mod has a config that removes the LFS licenseplate (number 4 in the list). e.g. in the screenshots I attached, the LFSplate in pink
It is mostly race-oriented than custom nplates, to have a """clean""" body. I could leave it blank but if I use another skin or one of the skins included in the mod I have to change the plate to display something otherwise it looks weird to have a plate background but nothing written. Having the noplate config means I can leave the plate untouched and choose if I want it displayed or not instead of editing the plate itself every time
Been driving this car around a bit and I like it, but found a few issues:
· The sunvisors are connected to headlights, which means that if I turn them on and off or flash the high beams the sunvisor flickers which is very distracting. I would suggest making it use the /light extra
· The police lightbar is also connected to headlights. I would suggest making it use the foglights instead, just to separate headlights from it.
*1 - The lights on the lightbar are washed out and are all red when one side should be blue and the other side red
· It has an adjustable rear wing up to 30º which seems unrealistic for such a car considering there is no wing visible that could replicate such values. There is a wing in the race config but even that wing doesn't produce that much of a significant change
You can make a copy of your dds folder and paste the night mode textures there, then rename folders back and forth, and you can do that while the game is running but you will need to type /rtex to reload textures
I mostly raced FBM at BL1 in quick races (e.g. MRc) because I am more used to that kind of racing instead of signing up on a league.
And you think I don't? That racing in the same 9 tracks in LFS isn't boring or tiring at some point? Of **** course I want new tracks, and even the day/night cycle.
I am not against new tracks in LFS, modded or not. I just want to see quality and effort being put to modded tracks (real or not), that's all-
For offline use, you can replace the ~ to a - in both the folder and the .veh inside (if you don't match the .veh to the folder name it won't appear in LFS), that way it will appear in the Test Tab
e.g. SUPER GP~009 to SUPER GP-009 and so on
Currently that's the only way to play with mods not available/mod list is not accessible
Was messing about with skins and noticed the Left and Right sides in EMKO don't match/aren't the same. Skin mapping-wise its the current problem I see so far.
Was messing about with skins and found that the right and left mappings are reversed, so right is left and left is right. This is also seen in LOD2 and LOD3
This is mostly an small detail, but in LOD3 what should be the front bumper mapping it instead shows part of the hood mapping
Had a look at v006 and found an issue
· Police2 config gives " Too many mappings in group : l_ffog " warning message. I think its because of this part of the lightbar conflicting
Skin mapping-wise its only missing this area behind the door handles from what I have been messing around while making skins (screenshot 2)
