Quote from janwolf :Are you native spanish speaker?

EDIT: File up to date.

Yes, Spanish is my mother tongue. They are almost ready, where should I send them? Will finish them by Friday night (the 29th) EDT.
EDIT: Apologies, taking longer than expected. Did overwrite the translated copy, while moving files. I was using the same filename for both source and target (but different directories); hope getting them again after the looong weekend

That's funny, I reported the same to an CTRA admin two months ago, and I was told a barrier will be in that place to prevent it. That shows they are overwhelmed with thinks to do!

Quote from SamH :Well Magnus is Gold-licenced.

Sam you should invite him to drive again but with a Platinum/Int. A; having access to high level servers he'll have the whole picture, not a tiny exposure about the learning servers.
If a fast driver is forced to drive a while on Race 1, he/she will find it frustrating trying to survive T1, race after race.
He's wrong not doing the previous research before writing the editorial, but you Sam being the CTRA head should help him fix his short-vision.

Sam,
What about the "swap" ?
Are the sw catching those too? I see quite often people (me included) being moved out of the top to the last places.

I use it, but for putting me out of the T1 danger, because I prefer start on the back and have fun than starting on top and getting wrecked.

after installing (admin rights) while trying to run it (with a restricted user), shows a popup window saying Error 75 and aborts; can't create the options.ini file

Can't create options.ini if run the first time with restricted account
ver 3.1.1.
So, run it with admin account and it will be created with no problem
Quote from flinty72 :Hi Bob, I am getting a problem window that says "incorrect vehicle data file version" when I try to run the updated version 3.1.1. I have to hit O.K 20 times before VHPA runs and states "Analysis not available while creating / editing a vehicle. I did select LFS mode in the installer.

Same here, it's not reading the VD3 files correctly. Could you please, publish the right ones for this version?

Quote from W1ldPort75 :Ok here we go again . After testen everything there is to test , on a 6600gt 6800gt and 8800gtx i noticed that the problem is not our computers , the problem comes from LFS .

You mean same system with 3 different GCs? or 3 different systems?
I have an AMD 3000 and a different card, and I agree, I started to have the same, around the time when beta testing the Y. I overclocked the processor and the card and still it's there, just learnt to live with it... and it's not the skins downloading thing, because it happens when racing alone (online)

I don't think you can call that a "Friend".

Quote from Dru :So you ARE deliberately either not entering a race name or or entering a silly one

great decision that is ................

neither one, unless you consider my first/last name a silly one... nahhh, do you?

Quote from SamH :You don't have to enter a name into the system at all. However, if you want to participate in the website's country, team and driver rankings, it is our requirement that it be a realistic name.

I'll clarify again that if you don't enter realistic names (or if we remove, your first and last names because they're too silly and you don't replace them) in our system, your points are not affected. They continue to accumulate within the system while ever you race on the CTRA servers. You can continue to earn new licences and gain access to higher servers etc

So, Stuart, don't be so happy, enjoy the current rank for a while, we are still scoring points

If everytime the incoming racer sees only one driver and leaves, no server will be populated enough, but if drivers connect regardless if empty or not, it'll be populated sooner.
So, if you like SS2 and have the access to it, just connect, soon somebody else will see you and join

When I started getting it, I tracked it down to be HDD related because it was at the same corner every lap (and offline too but not the same corner), kept defragmenting until drive died some time later. Got a new one and left a dedicated HDD for LFS... but I getting it again, not as bad as before but it's there...sooo, it's not HDD related as I was advicing others before.
Didn't think about the skin downlading process, in my case this could be, in yours, try speeding up the HDD (by defragmenting and increasing the virtual memory)

EDIT: just found out this, it maybe help us all: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=37803

Yes, it's the 3.1.0 with comp. mode enabled.
I'm using FZ50 GTR, so I open any setup, put both sliders for spring length to 0 (far left), save it; and when opening again it shows 5.1 cm in both. Will try reinstalling, let u know if fixed.
Thanks

Bob , I need your help with this one:
Yesterday I started to use the tool seriously, trying to fix a setup while on CTRA, after many races, not being able to, a team mate asked me why my car was THAT high, back to the pits, OMG yes, both sides 12.x cm (5 in.)!!!
Everytime the tool loads a set it defaults to around 5 in.
is there something in the settings?
Thanks.

Hi Bob,
Couldn't find if answered before or not.
after installing (admin rights) while trying to run it (with restricted user), shows a popup window saying Error 75 and aborts; tracing the cause it's because the program can't find/create the settings file (or the like)

going back to the admin user it runs, but back to the restricted user now runs, but changing preferences and trying to save them, shows the same popup window and aborts.
Giving the restricted user (or users using it) writing rights solves it

Bob, you know the code, you know what to do with this information

Nelson.

Quote from lerts :http://www.circuitodeasturias.com/content/view/51/2/

En la primera curva puedes entrar mordiendo el piano

how do you dare insinuate my madness is false

Spanish is my mother tongue, and I'm old enough to know several interpretations about the word "PIANO" and none of them is related to anything like a track/auto/driver, but maybe we (Spanish speakers) are seeing the birth of a new translation to "kerb". By the way the entity which dictates the rules about the Spanish Language (REAL ACADEMIA ESPAÑOLA) agrees with me:
http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/Srv ... TIPO_BUS=3&LEMA=piano
So, based on this, we can say for sure, Internet is full of information, real and BS!
So, DON'T believe what you find in the internet without judgment.

Quote from SamH :
There are other factors as well, but that should give you an idea for starters

Isn't the car multipler taken into account? I remember that in Race 1 driving the XRG give you a lot more points than driving the XFG. If it is, should be mention here, for starters it's important

in fact im even suspicious that the fastest set up makes the clock go slower leading me to races with the worst posible setup i mean how with more grip you go much slower

Of course, now I understand why inferno sets make me crash so often... so many using them at the same time, so the clock goes crazy and doesn't know which time update the first, and when is coming for me in order to update my world I'm just right before the apex and I don't have TIME to correct the overspeeding status ...
