Quote from gu3st :Yeah. AC is great but most of my attempts to find organized racing has fallen up short.

Agreed. I've got a few friends I used to lap with in AC but other than that it's all been on my own.

I've not been racing anything else much, AC here and there and I just got back into iRacing. But I still think there's a place for LFS and I did fire it up last night and do some laps.

I'd be down for some LFS online racing at weekends though.

I don't get the complaints about cruise servers because they have been around for a very long time. Honestly I haven't played in years, apart from to make a couple of autocross layouts and do some drifting. What I will say is it still drives very nicely. Good physics don't get worse over time! Maybe I'll pick LFS up again at some point, who knows Smile But for now, if drift and cruise servers are helping make the devs money then that's great.

Looks like a fun course. I'll check it out when I can be bothered to set my wheel up again!

Nice, that looks like a great pad you have there. Ours might be a bit smaller but good for around 60 second runs at fairly low speed. Sounds like a fun car!

Quote from thehaus2005 :I think this is great too. I plan to put together some autocross courses as well. I'm going to replicate some of the past courses used by the local club.

Awesome. Do you race with them? What car? I used to autocross my miata and now my FRS.

Quote from HokieDSM :I just wanted to post and say this is a great layout. I love the new layout options, and seeing an SCCA solo layout that takes advantage of this just makes it all that much more usable. Thanks for this!

Yes the new area is great for faster layouts. Thanks for the comment - I had been wondering if anyone was even interested in autocross layouts anymore!

Edit: btw, you've been registered since 2003 and this is your first post? Big grin

Nearly 10 years after creating the courses for the LX autocross competition, I'm super excited by the larger spaces now accessible at Blackwood and it's inspired me to create another course. With this space we can now create courses similar in size and speed to those on the US National Autocross Tour. Please see the YouTube video for guidance as I haven't put many arrows on the course itself. Cheers!

Here's a video I put together from an autox event this weekend. Had fun with the editing!

D3100 with 18-105. Used to have a D70 but sold that, wanted something with video and also the price was pretty damn appealing. Feels more entry level than my D70 did, but still a solid camera and it takes looovely video.

How many ears does Spock have?

I really enjoyed The Amazing Spiderman. I love how it shows the story from the beginning and the process of him learning about his new found strength and power.

Nice. I like the manually controlled camera work for the outside shots.

Quote from KiRmelius :To even start moving, I had to pedal quite fast, and to get full acceleration, I had to rev my legs over 9000 rpm. I hated that dream.

This is my new favourite dream! Rev legs to OVER 9000! So good

Quote from Omar1 :Woke up in dissapointment realising it was only a dream

I hate that! I regularly have dreams where I've somehow acquired a really awesome racing car or street car, and it's just fantastic in my dream. I wake up super happy and excited then realize it was only a dream

Quote from Forbin :I have a recurring dream where I'm in a corner on my race bike leaned way over and the front just washes out and I hit the ground. I get that weird falling feeling every time.

I get that feeling every time I ride a bike in real life lately :P Been a while since I've ridden regularly, so each time I borrow my friend's bike I'm a little lacking in confidence in the front end.

Quote from jnr89 :I have dream this but not so often, I even died in a car crash lol it felt like...rebooting my bios

That's no fun!!

Quote from Rappa Z :Firstly, I must say that it is a lifelong dream to someday drive the Nurburgring.

Crazy! Love that kind of dream! And the 'Ring is a great dream to have too, I went there a few years ago and it was every bit as good as I had imagined

WTF. This forum manages to hit new low after new low.
I saw Senna race live at Silverstone in '93. Who else has seen their idols race? :)

Here's a quick blog post about my experience of seeing Senna race I am lucky to have had the opportunity, I didn't realize how lucky at the time.

Also was really happy to see Nigel Mansell at Long Beach Indy in '93 when he went on to win the championship that year.

How about you? Seen any wicked races or any of your racing heroes?

New one for me last night... I was driving a truck with a huge trailer behind it, through really tight city roads. Thanks to my supreme driving skills I managed not to hit anything. Also on the same roads I was riding a motorbike, and I had someone following me, but they kept crashing at low speeds. I got pretty frustrated with them.
