I haven't fixed it. I have put my old card back in and returned the Ati X300.

Any ideas guys?

Hi all!

I have just put a new graphics card into my PC. I had a GeForce 5200 FX and I have just put a Ati X300 Pro in. The computer is working fine and I have only been able to test it on internet games. But when it comes to LFS it freezes on the main menu screen.

As soon as LFS loads it freezes on the main menu screen for about 5 secounds, then it goes onto a black screen and I have to resort to reset my machine. I have tried a clean version of LFS but the same problem occurs.

Any ideas guys. Any suggestions welcome and Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for your post but I have found a used EX for a very low price, which is considerably cheaper than any DFP.

Would the EX work without problems on LFS??

I am considering purchasing a logitech EX wheel to play with LFS. I just need a few answers to be clarified before I go ahead with the purchase.

Any help is appreciated:

1. Does this wheel work with LFS with the Wingman Profiler?
2. What is an average price for one?
3. Are these wheels any good?

Hmmm.

A very good design there. Not sure if it will do well replacing the current FXO but nevertheless it is a nice looking car.

Would be nice a new car altogether. Like a more firey and faster version of the FXO.

Yeh I shut down most apps before running it. The only things that are open is msn but that is locked with msn plus and Logitech Profiler.

This has happened to me three times. First time was in CLC and it happened in pit lane. It then happened again about 2 mins later. Then 2 days later it happened on the same server. Havn't really tried any other servers.

I have recently installed X2.

Im not sure if this has to do anything about my problem but...

My LFS is working fine then the screen goes black. A moment later my desktop appears with my LFS program minimized.

Anyone know any fixes or reasons for this problem??

Thanks for everyones help!

I realised that it was me calibrating it wrong. Lol

One more question:
Every so often when I am driving the pedals cut out! It shows it as having half and half throttle and brake on and the clutch fully in. I then try to re-calibrate it and the throttle and brake are on one axis spliting it half between them.

The only way I can fix this is by restarting LFS.

Anyone know why it is happening or a fix for this problem?

I have just tried that.

It works the first time when I load up LFS through the profiler then when I re-calibrate it or change it or even move the wheel a bit further than 300' the calibration messes up.

Is there anywhere I can find a guide from where it starts from the beginning?

I am having really big trouble setting up my DFP.

It only turns under 180 degrees even with both profiler and LFS set to 900.

Can anyone help??

I am really considering to buy a logitech driving force pro as one of my friends (Sam - Dark Elite) advised me that they are very good. But I have a few questions:

1. Does it have an analogue PS2 plug so I have to buy a seperate adapter to plug into my PC or is it fully compatible with my PC?

2. Where is the best place to buy one for a cheap price. No support is really needed for it just if it is faulty.

If you could answer these questions it will be much appreciated.
