Quote from noskillz :I go round as fast as I can and try not to get in the way when I'm lapped.

Good attitude.

I set up my car to cope with 60 laps even in 3 lap races. I try to drive like a 200 km/h hit-the-wall actually could kill me. To many people treat this this as a game, I like to drive as it was the real thing.

Why I love LFS? ... Simple;

Politics.
The Devs dedication to make a simulator instead of a easy driven grapich orgasm beloved by some many software houses due to the easy sell to console players that don't want any challenge at all.

Thank u Devs... and take it further, please.

Quote from AlienT. :Your not going to be in harmony for long if you've taken up serious gaming

Risky, i know...
But I might get grumpy if not allowed to have some fun (approx 15 hours/week) and thats not to good either. Besides, she has taken up her old "shopping and redecorating" hobby- so it's a tradeoff.

Keep in mind that downforce settings often have a impact on the "correct line". So it's often useful to get the downforce settings right before getting to familiar with a certain line.

Well, afterall it was a router setting.

The UDP positioning packets from LFS was somehow stopped by the Denials of Service (DoS) protection agent in the router. Some hours of investigation and trial lead to success, the server now up and running.

So if You have similar effects when running a LFS server, check if Your router does have DoS protection turned on.
Running LFS Demo server, remote players is invisible... ?

Did a search on this forum but did not find anything similar to my problem, so here goes;

I did setup a demo server, starts ok.
Server appearing in serverlist ok.
Local users login ok.
Remote users login ok.
The local users/players visible to everyone, ok.

Problem;
The remote users can see the local users but are invisible! They can't see each other and the local users can't see them.

Is this a router/firewall problem ? (Strange, since login is ok...)
