Creating a good website, attracting entries
gjkemmenoe1

OK:

Website pictures:
For the website I'm doing I need some promotional pictures. So rather than taking from somewhere, it would be good if we had some picture specifically tailored to the championship.

Also need a promotion video, but just wait until know more what it is going to be like first.

---
Attracting entries:
Obviously, the main thing is to attract entries, if we can get >16 that would be great.

It is not done by country (if you know generalgames) so no need to worry about that.

---
Thank,

& remember this is open to all!

Enjoy the championship! Test days coming soon!
NEW LFS'ONE' LEAGUE: Multi Tier All round Reward league
gjkemmenoe1
S3 licensed
Hello:

I am proposing a new LFS league to start April 6th. It will be an all round skill championship, using all the cars and circuit, with a large grid of different abilities in different tiers.

This will be a not for profit championship, with donations going to a good cause and helping to fund the prizes for the championship.

All the races will be streamed live on Youtube for all to see!

For this to work, we need:
- Championship Director
- Assistant Director
- IT, Technical people for the server and website
- People to broadcast and stream the event on youtube
- Promotions person to get people and attract entries

Thanks for the replays, I will put them up on the website in the LFS, .mpr format.

I am currently doing an event management course which will gives the basics and intermediates of running a successful event. I hope one day to make this a proper organisation!

I'm up for meeting just for fun races, in the future, and then next season (Sep 2014) another LFS G.Games round.

Thanks to everyone for competing, and all the best for the other championships that you are competing in.

Private Host

Could you make the host private so just the people in the competition are allowe on there now. The casual people that come in and out are starting to get annoying - Crashing you off and that. Good way of promoting but time to close up.

We could use the same password as before. Will have the password in the forum and on the website.

Finnish Entrant

Who was the Finnish entrant, that said they wanted to enter whilst racing online? Just so I can add them to the list and put in there fastest laps?

Also:

If we reach 10 - 12 racers would you want for it to be split into 2 different ability classes, if there is enough in each?

Racing Around
gjkemmenoe1

I have been racing around online this afternoon, a good standard of racing 1:33 - 1:35, ~ 1:37. Someone close, competitive racing online and some incidents too.

I will try to go around online and attract some people.

Now, in the longer races, 6 & 12 laps would you like to have a compulsory pitstop. Also it is maybe best for the 3rd German to compete in the competition but as an independent competitor, to avoid an overconcentration

Do you know if Romania is competing, the one who posted earlier? Finally who wants to host it, we could have it 24/7 for a few days before the event.

FBM not the BF1 ::
All Germans can race:
gjkemmenoe1

It is ok for all 3 Germans to race in the competition for points. Do we have any others participating? Can we get any others?

We can do practice / qualifying for the races on the Tuesday. As with last time some of the races we be reverse grid.
The time to act is now!!

Hi:

I am struggling to know what to do next for the General Games, so do would you like another round of LFS on September 11th. Similar to before, but hope we can get more people for it.

If interested please reply, I will put it in the events section this time!

Hello:

Attached are the replays for the LFS XFG race weekend, races 1, 2 & 3. Just play the reply in full, recording in some format in which you can easily upload to youtube, skipping between the players to where the action is happening.

---

Race 2 I will send via dropbox as too big for here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/w4nv ... ax/BL1_race_25L_5R_4F.mpr

------------------

Below are highlight in the race so you can catch the action first time round, the rest of the time just focus on the least boring action happening:

---

In Race 1:
A lot most of the action at the start in the first 4 laps with battling overtakes,

then not much action

then a little bit later on with an overtake and me flipping out toward the end

---

Race 2:
Battling in the first few laps, early German pitstops

Then overtake for lead after this,

closish between 1/2, 3/4 with pitstop lap 12 for leader

Me flip out on my lap 19, 3/4 laps down

*** GUA runs out of fuel lap 23/24

---

Races 3: Battling at the start

Me flip out lap 3 or 4

A bit of further battling later on

Thanks, It is a great help, much appreciated,

Graham
Movies
gjkemmenoe1

It's been a little while but am still looking for people to make a movie of the race. If anyone has a reply of the race, you can just show the action from that, just by playing the reply and recording it with fraps cycling the views to the action and putting it on youtube.

I tried making a movie of it with fraps but it was a bit laggy.

Btw the next LFS race will be early December so 3.5 months away, so could advise for that in a month and a halfs time.

Thanks,

Graham
