Hello! Like with the Prototype 2 and Protech 92 GT3 mods, we're exited to announce this new gt3 coming into lfs.
In this ocation we are working on a Mercedes Benz AMG GT3 to keep expanding the endurance series car pack.

Our working group is made by:
Mati ( Facu23 )& Euge ( Me ) on the stetic side.
Seba ( [BAR] S.S ) & Andres ( gtamax89 ) on physics.

For some months I was working moddeling this thing (on LFSE), starting from the base of our current MBZ safety car mod.
Like it happened with the protech mod, I ended re-doing almost the 98% of the car.

I'll upload a lot of pics of the "transformation" from this old 2015 AMG gt into a new GT3 car. (not a really good quality photos cuz they were took and uploaded on our private group to show the progress).







At this moment, guys are working on physics and we hope to get it on track this month to start testing everything.

At the moment I don't plan to make a new mod with the same body base and small changes in the physics.
For this reason, I am going to switch it to private mode for some time to be able to continue working with our testers and avoid problems with other users.

There's the answer. As I'd said before, model Will be updated for this new tires and other details but for now it's uploaded for testing new physics without any changes on model...

As I mentioned before, this update contains new physics but with old model.
In some days it´ll be updated with a lot of bodywork done, and this will contain new skin mapping.

As you can see, a new version was uploaded.

At this moment, the mod is on WIP mode for testing.
We are working on an incompatible update to get it more optimized, detailed and with a fresh look.

After months using LFS editor, now we got some new knowledge and want to implement on our first mod!

Physics:
-We changed the measurements of the tires as we discovered a conversion
error to the measurement system used by LFS.
-Modified the point of incidence, lift and aerodynamic drag (we found
better data)

Model:
-Now we´re using the same model than before but it will be updated on interior and exterior.

We know that it's not a perfect replica of the original car but tried to stay on the more details as it's possible.
It have a lot of work on physics and the visible parts (about 5/6 months), and got a bit of challenge trying to find info and pics of the real one since it's brand new on the racing world (we started the mod and real car hadn't runned on a single race Big grin )

I have to say that as it was our first mod, it have too much things to optimice and lod 2 on this one have 27k of tris Ya right maybe yes, it could be the problem...

Just a question, I mapped some tris for pit limiter light as l_brk and enabled feature in editor but nothing happened with the car on track... im missing something?

Any plans to add a virtual mirror texture? It would be really useful in the prototype and Porsche mod Frown

Idk if it's a bug but if you export to share a vehicle, when the other ppl open the mod on editor, it loses the names of subobjets

Hello all Wave

We decided to add a new thread about this mod sinse I'll upload it with my user.

As title says, we are making a Porsche 911 GT3R 2023 (Type 992).
This mod is toking us a lot of work on details, physics and searching info and pictures about the car since it is brand new on the racing world.

Here you can find some more progress from the interior.

Safety net and cage. Also we got the seat inside the cockpit





About physics, the car is quite advanced and our beta testers are close to be driving it! Expect to see it soon on track Smile

I'm the one moddeling this thing Big grin and answering your question, no. I use LFSE cuz i'm too lazy to learn blender (to made pro models) so yea, sometimes its a bit difficult without redo function but after some months on this I learned some tricks and habits that makes things to be more easy.
