What's Your Claim to Fame?
Simple thread this - post your claim to fame (if you have more than one, just post the best). Try and keep it short and snappy, and please, no BS. I'll start:

My Auntie is the Corsican Women's windsailing champion.

Yours?

I went to the karate championships in crete. And won nothing...
But a girl on my team won gold.
Haha, now seriously, how many people are going to have a legitimate claim to fame?

Edit: OOH just rememebred, a maths teacher at my school is a "30th" cousin to Thiery Henry
Err the closest I can get is that I'm (very) loosely related to the Truman beer brewing family

My Great Great Great Uncle (or something) won a Nobel Prize.

And I'm the S&RJTTL Runner Up 2008

EDIT: Ooh and the U17 South Kesteven Doubles Badminton champion

It would look weird in the centre (or at least worse than it did) and mainly I was just blabbering on because I was like 14 and was sat in front of about 10 people pointing bright lights and cameras in my face.

My lower legs appeared on TV about 10 years ago.
For 1 whole football season I was this guy

I also played in the County Fans v County Players match twice in two years, and managed to make the full 90 mins without dying (never even got a shot on target though)

Depends :/
Sometimes the thing to focus on should be in the middle, but meh, seems your the photography expert.
Haha id just cack myself if i had that many people infront of me filming me XD
Mackie, that is cool!
Quote from Minimaxman :Mackie, that is cool!

Not in the Summer it F*****g wasn't , nor during the last hour of a 24 hour stadium walk-a-thon around Victoria Park
I was once on the Today Show (NBC). Not as a guest mind you. One of those idiots that wakes up at 4am, stands in line for hours, and has a camera pan past them for half a second on the plaza outside. My wife's idea.
Err...I was runner up in Ireland in the Microsoft Specialist competition. Oh, and I captained out F1 In Schools team to new heights of failure last year. We got into the National Finals, but then we didn't even get a mention
My father arrested Linford Christie's sister.
I came 289th in the Marseilles-Cassis demi-marathon in the late 80's
We've restored cars for Rowan Atkinson, Nick Mason and one or two other famous people. And my older brother, whilst representing the company on the phone, threatened to beat the shit out of Prince Naseem Hamed when he threatened to break our legs for not supplying an Impreza 22B front bumper.

Other than that, just tedious monotony...
I once new someone who was friends with a guy who almost got the job saying 'This is the BBC World Service' on the radio.

I think the obscure ones are better..
i came 198th in the edinburgh marathon a while ago, i though i did pretty well considering i was only 15
My mum went to the same party (on a boat) as Madonna, several years ago.

As for me, you might see my house on one of the endless repeats of decorating programmes on UK television - we were on "House Invaders".

I was once interviewed in the studio of my local BBC radio station for a play I was starring in.

I went to school with Jack Wilshire, now an Aresenal player, 1 year younger than me, earning more per month than the head teacher of our school does in an entire year.

You can see me in the background of "Later with Jooles Holland" (November 4th edition I think), which leads me on to the fact I also sat in the same seats that Pendulum did on that evening (not at the same time, obviously, that would be silly).

Oh, and I stalked Tim Harvey for about 30 minutes.

That's about it. Go me. I'm basically a celebrity.
I've had extremely short dealings with quite a few very famous people. I don't think I make a very good first impression.
My dad knew from work the racing driver Esa Schroderus, from Team F40 (2x Ferrari Challenge Champion, used to drive Super Saloon etc.).
But I think my dad hasn't seen him for years.

When I was a kid, we used to get free VIP tickets for racing weekends from him. I still can remember the mighty Super Saloon-monsters.

Yes, I'm SO famous.
I was classmate, and i might call him friend, with the Formula BMW European Champion
Well I haven't had no fame really apart from when I had a section in the paper from when I had my motorcross bike stolen.

My Dad was 5 times in a row, British Champion in Freestyle wrestling

Not other parts of fame in my family apart from my Auntie is a friend of Amir Khan and Paddy Mcguinness is my cousins, second cousin.
