(Fortunately he was reinstated after appeal. and the fact that 99% of the company was ready to go on strike over this..INCLUDING all of the Asian drivers!)

Sounds similar to that godawful Tariq Gafur (sp?) Asian police chief who complained about discrimination, claiming he wasn't able to get promoted and was victimised, yet he held one of the highest ranking most well paid jobs in the met......people were falling over themselves to get on the 'oh noes discrimination' bandwagon without looking at the facts

I am sure that many others among us have witnessed similar things in their workplaces.
Another example of "Quotas"..a recent job for a controller/inspector was advertised internally.. there were 40+ applications (not me...you can stuff that job..too much work/responsibility for hardly any more pay ) and yet the shortlist was whittled down to the ONLY TWO FEMALES that applied. This was because some Gruadian reader had noticed that females were underrepresented in middle-management positions, even though a lot of the guys that applied were better qualified, had more seniority, and were more suited to the role.

btw...we haven't got a "glass ceiling" where I work..the MD is a woman! (on merit, I might add!)

It is quite unlikely that the BNP would ever get in power as they have less support here than the remnants of the nazi party in Germany. I'd say the BNP has significantly more mainstream credibility than Aryan Nation people here in the US.

The point being for every story you post of "political correctness gone mad" there are 50,000 stories of racial persecution, also they go unreported, unless a cvriminal from Afghan gets a council house.

I'm sure there are numerous untold (albeit largely apocryphal) stories that would support your position, but your personal experience isn't all that useful to the discussion. I've been in fights with lots of white people but never any non-whites - does this mean that only white people get aggressive? Of course not. My experience is limited. As is yours.

The concept of nation is a rellatively new one historically, I forget now but it emerged in the late middle-ages, as I mentioned a dozen or so pages ago, we are the people who pay our taxes to a higher authority, the nation is megrely the name of the higher authority who takes us away and throws us in a cell if we don't pay.

EDIT: And just to further ram this particular point home. Many of Europes languages do not even have an equivellent word for "nation".

I live in a Bradford postcode and the biggest threat I've felt to my peaceful and merry existence was when the BNP went door-to-door canvassing for the last election.
