Been playing the demo on and off for quite a while (have it pre-ordered) - it has amazing replay value for what is basically 15 minutes of gameplay
The difficulty jump from Advanced to Expert is stupid, it's like going from stealing candy from a baby to breaking into fort knox.
It's just amazing fun really, but then well implemented co-op gameplay is very hard to not enjoy.
Anyway, DL'd the demo last night, and even though I am a MASSIVE zombie fan (if you haven't read World War Z and the zombie survival guide yet, do so!!), I was left a bit disapointted.
Seems as a good solid game, before I can really judge the fun-factor, I have to wait to get into MP coop with my friend.
But definitely I'm waiting for this to get released.
We've always had pretty chunky threads for major releases so can't we just have one clearly labeled thread for each new game? This thread is just a confusing mess, deleting the posts would be just as effective. Personally I consider threads about games are far more useful to the community than masterpieces such as 'Draw a cat with your eyes closed!', 'hey guys neeed help with a good Team name' and 'do you think this can work for a self standing umbrella?'
I've tried the L4D demo yesterday evening. Played it for about 15 minutes, and got bored already. If only it would live up to the great opening movie.
It could be a really fun game... but the concept like it's done doesn't do it for me. It's fun until the first big "wave" of zombies attack... i dunno... it's just too much. You find yourself in a chaos... surrounded by "hit me one time, no matter where, and i'll die" zombies. Your teammates somewhere inbetween... sometimes you accidently shoot at them aswell, because you don't see them anymore between all the zombies... blabla. And even if a freaking horde of zombies is surrounding you, you simply don't die.
I love zombie games, but this one is quite a bland and repetitive experience IMO. I'll pass.
Pretty much exactly what I found. When you have 30 zombies sprinting down a corridor at you it just gets far too 'busy' so see what's going on, and you just end up blindly shooting at anything that moves. I imagine it would improve if you had 3 other people, all on headsets, who knew what they were doing, but well - I don't.
For those that are anxiously waiting for Mirror's edge on Pc have I got a surprise for you! A 2d version inspired by the game is going to be released (free) in a week or two, and you can try a level now!
Haha very nice!
My brother came home with a present today XD Cod5.
I am VERY impressed so far. especially the fact you can now do co op offline and online. That is awesome. I thought i would hate this game because its gone back to the world wars but its still pretty effing awesome!!
Tomorow im probably going to move my ps3 down to my lounge where theres a beautiful 42" HDTV in there and play
Had a few problems getting it running at first...was some leftovers from the beta that I had to hunt down and kill manually, but now is working 100%...brilliant gfx (Everything on max @ 1680*1024 4xAA) and runs smooth as a babys bum ...getting pwnt as usual online, but thats nothing new
Oooh, very nice. The only problem ive had so far is that co op wouldn't save my progress with my brother :/ So i have to play through in single player to unlock the co op levels. Besides that all is well, then again bugs dont really occur THAT MUCH in ps3.
And im running at 480p win. Pawns your high res ness.
Sutpid postal claims it's gonna take until November 24th for my COD5 to reach me. Hopefully it'll be here soon though because it's already been shipped.
Just got CoD 5, loving it but completely baffled as to what to do on the sniper mission? It seems the other sniper fires as soon as he appears and always knows exactly where you are.
