Awesome, AR50 was my first road bike. That was great fun 'til I wrote it off.
Then picked up an Aprilia RS50 on the cheap, then just before my 18th I got a Sachs XTC125.I wish I still have pics of my AR, it was awesome. Black with red wheels.
As for the OP, if you're gonna be a learner rider and it's your first bike, I wouldn't jump straight on a sports 125. Try find something cheap but reliable (preferable a naked 4 stroke) just incase you do have a little off, it won't cost much to repair small bits. Whereas full fairing can be quite pricey to replace. Not to mention insurance will be cheaper on a naked small cc 4 stroke.

To the thread starter: You don't need a motorbike yet. Wait until you're 40, then you can ride one up to the coast five weekends a year with your mates to stand around outside a cafe in the boiling sun in your leathers drinking nothing stronger than coffee, before riding all the way home again.

I used to own the RS125 and it was a bit hardcore. Clutch (for a 125) was bloody heavy and very difficult to modulate. They're very expensive to maintain and you have to use the very best 2T oil and allow them to warm up before using them hard. In todays world of speedbumps and speed cameras.. the rush that you get in the first week will diminish very quickly, and it will become tiresome.
The CBR125 is next to go. They look comically small and are very dated. Technically, it's a good bike, although in the real world, it's not that good. Engine is merely "ok" for a 125 and riding it makes you feel like you're on one of those clown bikes.
The Ninja 250 is.. well.. it's a bike. I guess if you wanted an entry level 250 then I'd say get one of those.. but that's only because there's no other decent 250 bike out there.

I'd recommend one of these as an entry level bike. It looks pretty big for a 125 (much bigger than the piddly CBR125, although not quite as big as an RS125), it's a Yamaha so it'll last for ages and it looks pretty decent.

Get the Kwakker. It'll be fun, practical (for a bike!), comfy, frugal, won't make the shitty two-stroke noise (noise is a good way to describe it. It's not a sound or a note), and will be honest about it's intentions.
The Aprilia will keep telling you you can go flat through hairpins, and reward you with broken bones. The Honda 125 isn't made very well (I believe) compared with it's bigger brothers, so it'll fall apart in no time.
For emotion and passion, get the Aprilia. For a decent bike get the Kwakker.
