Michael and Ralf are both in the East of Germany. Ralf on the Eurospeedway Lausiz for the DTM, Michael for the IDM (International German Superbike Championship) in Oschersleben. He starts on a Honda CBR 1000RR with the Starting Number 77. After the first training he finished as 23 of 39.

5. Gabor Rizmayer (HUN/Suzuki) But Schumi can't ride a bike I remember he also tried a MotoGP bike not so long time ago... And Rossi tested an F1 Ferrari

well some news... Schumi did his time in the 1st qualifying session on wet track. In the second qualifying session his bike had an electronical problem, the official IDM statement. The drying track made it possible to ride faster. Tomorrow there will be race three and race four of the IDM Superbike, the first two championship races of Michael Schumacher!
About his tough-luck in qualifying Schumi said:

yeah, he hoped that the press wouldn't notice it that he was racing. The last time he drove in a championship wich was not the F1, while he was still an employee of Ferrari, it was the FIA Kart World Championship Race in Kerpen. The German television channals fought about the rights to broadcast it. This time, no (german) channals are there in Oschersleben.

I think it's cool that he's obviously just doing it for the fun of it. The mark of someone very confident that he has nothing to prove to anybody.

A) loves racing
B) despite the age, he is still willing to try a new(ish) discipline.

Well I'm happy for him. He's devoted his life to something he loves and not a lot of people can do that

At least he's trying someone competitive again. I thought he may have returned to F1 just as Niki Lauda did many years ago. Time will tell although he is still Ferrari's Third Driver

I don't think he will get the same amount of championships that he did in F1!

Saw the test with Ducati in Mugello. (Was a big event here).
Was really disappointing.
Saw now his results. He seems to have really improved. But what the heck, no surprise is Schumi!
Even 6 second per lap (and on rain right?) are nothing when you start. He have a good potential, and 6 seconds (not from an amateur but from professionals riders) are a very good start!
Seems he is born for speed!

He'll need to learn some manners on the track now, else it may become a little more painful than when in those pansy cars he used to drive.

Bike racing is for real men.. I can't see him lasting long

under this link you find the official recaps of the Oschersleben IDM races! Well... they are in German, but you'll get an impression of what Schumacher did.

The 2nd last pic from the first post makes him look like he's mad lol.

Now we'll just need to cross our fingers hoping he'll be able to put a good show.

Too bad the cams didnt catch the fall, id really like to see it and lough at him

Today was published that Michael is going to race at the Nürburgring this weekend, again on two wheels, again in the IDM Superbike!

Cool stuff. I am excited that he's competing and it'll be really interesting to see how he adapts to two wheels over time.
