Quote from Sil3nc3r- :I have a question: What are the points standing for ? (Image)

And is there any english Manual of using the lapper and configuration examples ?

Sil

The points display driftscores. This is mainly used on driftservers and the !drf command displays your drift PB.

No there isn't as far as I know. Someone started a WIKI-page some time ago, but there isn't much info on (yet).
Ah thx for the answer! now it makes sense...^^

I saw a Lapper script in a host called "Dutch Autobahn Racers" a while ago. And someone told me, the script will be released in a bit. It was kinda well scripted, it showed the Split times in a box on the lower right, beside that it looked very nice.

Anyone has a clue about that script ?

LFSLapper is running...
Hello,

I don't understand why you have this problems. I have installed Lapper on many Debian and ubuntu linux without any issue and using default get package.

Try to reinstall mono!

Gai-Luron
Hi,
I use lapper on my server which is dedicated to drifting (fat oil drifting ground).
lapper is a nice app for sure. had a hard time running it, because of 64bit system.

So i have some request/idea to get more funny drift sessions.
Would it be possible :
- to get a time/score ratio for each lap instead of only drift points ?
- to be able to cumulate drift points for a predefined (config) number of laps, and display total score and time/score ratio at end of session.
- to cancel scoring if lap takes too long time (preventing some tricks and cheats for getting a top score)

let me know
:laola:
think you Yisc[NL] its working now
:laola:
think you agin man
I have a question:

In our Host "Crash TD Dummies", we drive on FE3. Any User who is driving a 18:00 sec or faster on the first Split gets a comment like "Good Split blabla". On other Hosts (for example the SR-Host), you get the comment, even if you drive a 18:02. Whats it about?

And directly the next question: Is it possible to programm the Lapper, that the comments comes earlier ? I would like to get those Comments (good split,great split) earlier for users, who arent so fast....see they get kinda a motivation....^^

You can adjust those settings with the following utility:

http://ks37764.kimsufi.com/mods/trackinfo1.2.rar

Play with the values and generate a new file to use with your lapper.
Ah great! Thx for info!

Mostly when Lapper crashes right after the start, something is wrong in your config file.
Take a default script and try to start Lapper again. If it crashes again there's another problem, if it's running fine, there must be a problem in your config file.

Gai-Luron

Yum update was upgrading mono to the latest version. I've now excluded mono from Yum update so mono will stay at the version I know works with Lapper.
Can someone give me a hint to add Commands in the lapper config?

For example i want to add the Race Calendar by Static Blue in our Lapper. Whats the command that users can see, that they can type $next ?

This is what i tried:

^3$next ^8Race Calendar, Registering possible:

but it didnt showed up.

Sil
i dont get it

i have checked the passwords many times in both cfg files and i still get error: InSimassword does not match your multiplayer admin password

whats goinig on?

edit: redownloaded and didnt used the config converter and its working now...
Syncronising 2 LFSlappers on one server
Quote from Gai-Luron :Hello,

It's so easy to config sync option.

Each server have an instance of Lapper
Each server have his Lapper config file

In LApper config file, each server have an unique name ID.
Exemple:
For server A
SyncID=servA;
For Server B
SyncID=servB;
Then you set the same directory for the sync action, must be the same for server A and B
Exemple
For server A
SyncDir=synchro;
For Server B
SyncDir=synchro;

And last you specify for each Lapper, the SyncID of all Lapper to be Sync. If more than one server separate with |
Exemple
For server A
SyncIDsToSync=servB;
For Server B
SyncIDsToSync=servA;

You config file look like this after configuration

For server A
SyncID=servA;
SyncDir=synchro;
SyncIDsToSync=servB;
For server B
SyncID=servB;
SyncDir=synchro;
SyncIDsToSync=servA;
Any have an idea about creating a wiki for LFSLapper. I try wikipedia but my article was erased. It will be a good idea to do this for share our experience on LFSLapper.

Hi Gai (or anyone who has linked 2 lfslapper databases together)

I have rented 2 LFS server accounts from one of the specialist LFS hosting companies.

Both accounts are on the same machine and share the same IP address, with different port and insim numbers.

Both are running the very latest versions of LFSlapper downloaded yesterday and both are having no problems with any other features of LFSlapper.

There are 2 instances of LFSlapper running on different insim port numbers.

I have set them up as described above, only using different names:

SERVER 1:

SyncID=frh48;
SyncDir=synchro;
SyncIDsToSync=frh84;

restarting SERVER 1 lapper generated the folder 'synchro' and two sub-folders:

--- synchro
----------- frh48 (this folder is empty)
----------- frh84 (this folder now has lots of .sync files in it)

SERVER 2

SyncID=frh84;
SyncDir=synchro;
SyncIDsToSync=frh48;

restarting SERVER 2 lapper generated the folder 'synchro' and two sub-folders:

--- synchro
----------- frh48 (this folder now has lots of .sync files in it)
----------- frh84 (this folder empty)

To make it clear (in case this is the problem), SERVER 1 and SERVER 2 have their own folders (because I am renting them from an LFS hosting provider), so I have two completely seperate SYNCHRO folders. But, they are on the same physical machine.

server1 (lfs.exe file is in here)
------- bin (lfslapper.exe file is in here)
-----------synchro
server2 (lfs.exe file is in here)
------- bin (lfslapper.exe file is in here)
-----------synchro

Hopefully this explanation makes sense ?

Could you please let me know what I need to change to get this to work please ?

Thanks

Clio

Make sure of a couple of things:

-Both servers should write to their own pb.txt (pb1.tx and pb2.txt for example)
-Both instances of lapper should be started from the same directory with their own config-file

So they are using the same lapper.exe with their own config-file. Write two batch-files (or edit on if you like to) to make lapper start. The rest of the settings should work perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback, I will see if our LFS host can arrange this, they have been brilliant so far.

I will let you know how we get on.
Hello,

SyncDir=synchro;

Two different pb file, one pb file for one lapper
Lapper can be or not on two different directory, but "synchro" must be the same directory for the two instance of Lapper.

Gai,

Thanks for the reply.

SyncDir=synchro;

Can I make this reference relative:

SyncDir=/server1/synchro (not sure which way the slashes go)

or does it need to be absolute

SyncDir=C:\windows\system\etc\server1\synchro

This is a brilliant feature by the way Gai !

You can use what you want.

I use this for my server for each Lapper on two directory

SyncDir=../synchrolapper;

main (Directory)
--- Lapper01 (Directory under main)
--- Lapper02 (Directory under main)
--- synchrolapper (Directory under main)

I don't test it, but this can be absolute. You do what you want. slash work, i don't try \ (antislash)

Thanks Gai, it will try this tonight and let you know if it works.

Just to confirm that your method works great, I linked 3 LFS server together on one box and they syncronised perfectly.

Thanks for all you help

Clio
Since we had an annoying driver in our host tonight (race was started with only two people, and every time, when he crashed, he started a new race), i would like to give some of my other club members Kick and Ban possibilitys...am i right to do this in this way:

!ban@Sil3nc3r-:User1:User2:User3|/ban {*} 1|

?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thx in advance

Sil
Hi! Is it possible in a next release to add a "onraceend" feature. It may allow to send a message at the end of the race or send a http command... A good thing thing would be to retrieve the finish position of a driver (that can be send via a http command...). Thank you Gai-Luron for your good work!
