can explain to me how to drift in a circle please.i just end up doin smaller and smaller drifts, but cant do anything close to what i see people do(keepin the circle the same size, and not get smaller). any tips or anything i cant get would be greatly appreciated.im a noob and suck i know, damn that sucks sigh

Try using an awd car first. You can make perfect circles in awd. Then move up to rwd, and also a set would probably help to. Default won't get ya anywhere.

see if that works for you, or you can just go to the skidpad, pick a line, and try to keep the car on that line. or... you can put some tires down and drift around those... or put one bunch of tires down, and another bunch about 12 feet or so away, and practice doing figure 8s.

or you could try the search button? LFS's been around for a long time, so any question you have has most likely been answered at least 50 times before already.

if youre going in an inward spiral chances are your angle is to high => youre scrubbing off too much speed

Hit up the autocross skid pad.

Can't go wrong, it's all about practice and learning how to countersteer smoothly.

Start wide, and hold it aslong as you can, then eventually turn in and drift the tighter radius's.

I downloaded those drift layouts for autocross. Great fun!

There is 1 layout that has a smaller circle and a larger circle in it and you have to try and hold the drift all the way around it. I can manage half of the bigger circle until I lose it.

I figure with practice I will be able to do the whole thing, i'm using 720 degrees steering, is this ok? I know it would be easier on a lower setting but I want to learn on 720 and use that all the time for race/drift.

Just getting back into this game its great.

throttle control is the key,man...throttle control

At skidpad there are circular lines, which really help you, so you can see if you are going wider or something else.

Exactly. WOT is gonna get you too far, but letting off too much will bring you back to traction. Takes a bit of practice.

aaaah, just fooling around, dont mind me

using wheel or a progressive steering helps.... but then again you need a sensitive throttle but haven said that i can do it via counter steer/oversteer/just not trying

Pick any track you like, at any time of the day, jump in the Raceabout, and try driving it in a straight line.
I guarantee within 20 seconds you'll be doing perfectly formed donuts. You won't necessarily be in control of them, but you will be doing it.

LMAO, that is so true... I can't hold RAC for more then 2-3 turns straight, and considering I'm a drifter - that would be good, but it isn't
