Well, running out of fuel. Been there!
Trying to do that 180degree spin at race finish, only to wind up in the wall, beating the crap out of the car, been there as well.

But the most annoying is when you have a rather comfortable distance to 2nd, and you then mess it totally up, by going out of your line, hitting the curb, and then ALMOST flips the car, but then it's about to go down, but no, it flips anyway, sliding on your roof out in to the wall.

Was leading a CTRA race for about 5 laps (5/8) and accidently hit the G18 macro button wich sends me to pit.. xD

After a lengthy Qualifying session on XFG/XRG blackwood I qualified first whith a nice 1:33.50 or similar. Race starts adn while waiting for the lights to change I have a brainfart and forget which buttons on my joypad were the gears, luckly I found them on the green light... just the wrong one... So I sailed past the ranks in reverse and lets say I could not make up the lead I lost whilst apologising to the people I rammed. Any one else reversed on the start line by accident?

On a 15-lap run on the Blackwood Rallycross Reverse circuit, last lap in an XFG, I'm coming out of that dirt hairpin onto the main straight. I always carry some angle off the dirt and onto the pavement, and I'm usually relatively close to the wall [I apex early and swing wide].

So I'm out there, got roughly 5 seconds on the 2nd placer, I pull out too hot and stuff the right rear quarter into the pit wall endcap. Spins my car about 15 times, and sets me toward the finish line, but the car wants to go right, even at full opposite-lock.

Ended up 6th place, out of 7, pulling the car in 3rd gear with the e-brake on. The 7th placer rolled on lap 3.

Nope, but I had a similar situation: I was on the TBO server when X was shiney and new... When I joined, I switched to the sequential shift script (to not look like a complete fool first time on the server, little did I know I'd manage anyway) and drove the last few laps of the race... After the race, I went to pits to tweak the setup a little... Next race started (reversed grid), the lights went green, I pulled the lever and stomped on the throttle - no movement. Oh.bugger...

By pitting, the gearing switched back to H-gate, so I sat there on the grid in neutral, flooring it like a madman... Needless to say, I spent the whole race apologizing to people (in a time everyone was already fed up with people sleeping on the grid)...

Graph pretty much explains it all. Fe green reversed fo8's, had already backed off to a cruise, but managed to hook my wheel inside the 1st chicane curbing a few laps from the end. Spun me 180 into the wall of the bridge in a split second and I'm semi-lucky that I even finished with the speed I hit the wall at. (140 mph corner)

Thats caused by hdd being too slow. I had the same problem, fast hdd solved the whole issue, n never had it since.

Most embarrasing thing I ever did, was I was racing the fox on redline on as2 while still rather noobish. I ended up on pole, with 23 cars in the race. I made a great start, but the entire time up the straight, all I could think about was 23 cars behind me n the pressure got to me n I spun it on T1. lol Definitely the most embarrasing ever. lol

tyre blow and took out the al the top10 who just lappen me caus my tyre blew and lost al cotrol they lappen me becaus i was stuck in turn1 mayhem

I would have to say the worst thing that has happened to me in a race is going a 20 lap race at SO.
I was doing damn good laps the whole time after the T1 carnage. I was finally gaining on the leader. I caught up to him on the beginning of lap 19. I ended up having a war with him trying to get past him and I ended up next to him on the final straight (after that pain in the arse hairpin), had a hell of a drag race (seeing who could flat shift faster) I was gaining a lead on him when..... Fuel bailed on me and ended up getting second.

Has happened many times before with worse results but that was the one that I got laughed at the most for

One that I can remember is, of course, at AS3 with the FZR. It was a 10 lapper and iirc I had started on 5th or so. Pretty full server, some fas guys too although I managed to keep up and fight for the win. Anyways, it was last lap () and I just had managed to pass the leader on the tight corner at the end of the backstraight and was really happy for the win... Anyways, I noticed that I had good splits and thought why not try to make fastest lap too... on last lap. On the turn in of the last chicane I got just a tiny bit wide and slided the car a bit. Managed to keep up the momemtun but I hit the curb at wrong angle. Flipped the damn FZR . There goes the pb and the win...

Another one is at Blackwood. The big GTRs, me drivng the FXR. The race was a 30 lapper so iirc you needed to pit. About 6 people were left and basically it was for the top 4 to get the win. I did my pits top quite a bit later than the other guys and managed to get back from the pits right after the leader on lap 25 or so. After two laps the leader's tires melted and the road was free. Just drive safely and the win is mine . On lap 29 I cut the last corner a bit too eagerly and roll the damn thing, totally wrecking my suspension. I just let the car roll and finally it came to stop. I just shouted perrrrkele and closed LFS.

And I can think countless times when I have tried to type a message and spun out... suddenly you are on the grass or wonder where did that braking marker go ... Nowadays I try not to type anything while driving

I started in the back half of the grid in the FOX at AS Club. 10 laps + pit. I avoided the first-lap carnage and was up to 6th or so. Steadily I worked my way up the order, pushing hard, until lap five when I was in 2nd place - a second or two behind the leader and catching him. My fuel strategy demanded that I pit at the end of lap six. Going into the final corner before pitting, he makes a small mistake so I am right on his tail ready to pick up a bit of tow before diving left. As I turn, so does he! We're pitting simultaneously. I'm well into his slipstream now, just a meter or so behind him, when he suddenly brakes well before it is required. Instantly I brake as hard as I can while steering right a little in order to avoid hitting him. I just manage to do so, but I barely put my right wheels on the grass while the car is not 'flat', which sends me reeling into him. We both spin backwards to a stop at the beginning of the pitlane, the field streaming past. We both give it a bootful to spin around and take up pit boxes near each other. I press my "Sorry mate" key as we light up the tires to leave at the same time, and we sail right past 80kph because in the confusion we both forgot to engage the pitlane speed limiter! :banghead:

We both shamefully Shift+S and sit out the rest of the race. I left the server to put on my dunce hat and stand in the corner. :dunce:

Hmm... Well, worst loss has to be when my friends decided to make a surprise visit to my house. They busted into my room with paintball guns already firing. I did, however, get them back later when I took all their money racing in REAL cars, haha.

I'm leading the race on lap 15 in my tuned FXR. Going onto the final straight I hear the motor noise of doom. The fuel light started blinking (lol, theres no fuel light, adding for drama) and literally I pass the finish line THE SAME TIME as the guy in second. I have a vid of it. The guy in second won, btw.

Definetly when i gelt to the last lap of the race in first, and the phone rings. It sucks because half the time it is my mom who calls.:/

In the FM oval server, the Kyoto track has a wall that separates the apron from the track. At the last lap I was leading, then in turn 3 (that really tricky turn) I tried to go as far down as I could without hitting the wall but i clipped it and I spun up (taking out half the field in the process)

At the CTRA, I was leading a small field in Fern Bay, about 2 laps to go I hit a high curb and landed on my roof

Been resting my chin on the wheel going down the back straight at Blackwood when someone span off in front of me. I hit them as they span and the force-feedback nearly broke my jaw.

Racing in the MRT in a series with custom autocross gokart style tracks, I was easily leading the field one race and thought I'd show off over the finish and wacked on the handbrake to spin out over the finish line..... only to pull up a foot short.... with no reverse gear....... I finished 5th. :bananadea

I had gotten sick of the guy behind me hitting me at every corner only to go wide so I could pass again. Rinse/repeat. Well he's bearing down on me for the finish line and win so I figure I'll get a bit of revenge. I slam on the brakes only to find out he's pulled beside me :banghead:

Who haven`t tried to brake when someone is hiting your ass all the time? Funny he actually passed you, bet you got little enjoyed then ^^

My most embarassing thing is probably that I don't win races and when I lead I get nervous and mess up. Man people are good in this game.
