The online racing simulator
Interesting!
Just bought the Formula EX, but im having problems with the pedals, as it seems they are attatched to the same axis, rather than separate ones (what i would prefer).

If i press both pedals at the same time, they cancel each other out, if i am still holding a little throttle, the brake axis will be reduced with a gap as equal as the ammount thottle i am using.

Art (art555) if you could get back to me on this, to see if you have/had the same problem, or if you did and had to stick with it, as there was no possible solution?

iirc you need to go to the wingman profiler settings and under global device settings untick report combined pedals, its there somewhere, might have to search a bit for it

(i hope this is right as i no longer use logitech devices as this pc here will not calibrate them properly so i'm now using an old non-ff sidewinder wheel + a cheep saitek r220 for the pedals, lol)

thanks man, big kisses!
be aware that g25 consume WAY MORE cpu than DFP.

Tested on LFS. Depend of what PC you have.. especially what chipset your motherboard have... it's about the USB controller that sometime sucks.
Test is made of moving wheel fastly from left to right to send lots of USB info to PC , and that's without binding wheels in LFS, just need to plug it on your PC.

Without any wheels 100 fps
DFP : 90fps
G25 : 70fps.

I was in contact with Logiteck guys, they manage to reproduce that... it's because G25 send too much data via USB.

And the problem can occur on any PC , any USB type ( 1.0 1.1 2.0 )... it's just a question of good or bad luck
What do you guys think of the Logitech Black MoMo wheel ? I am not paying $250 on the G25

Jacks wheel guide in is sig is definatly worth a read

I love My DFP. Has never failed me yet and has always been a VERY decent wheel imo.

If your looking for my reccomendation... DFP all the way
IME the DFP is good for about 15,000 miles online before you're likely to have problems with it, and if you get those 15,000 miles done within a year then when it does go wonky you can get a replacement under warranty (which is what I did at the first sign there might be something up with the brake pedal). 30,000+ miles and my second DFP is still going with no problems.

The biggest downside IMO is the noise - I can't drive RWDs late at night when my girlfriend's asleep - I don't countersteer fast enough because I don't want to wake her up. :o
Kev, why are you playing LFS at night instead of sexing up said girlfriend?

What do you think I'm doing in the mornings, afternoons and evenings? She needs her rest.
Didn't anyone tell you:

There's no bad time for sex! ...

Or was it "There's no bad time for porn!". I dunno, I forgot.
