Guy I know it's a difficult skins and all but, 13th March 2007, you've been doing it for over 2 months! I'd just release what you've done, you can always update it later on.

well, the problem is that i havent had much time since then

and also the right hand side of the car...I dont have the shots i need to put america on it....

though, i do believe i just fixed that problem but we'll see how it goes.

I could post the file as it is to let some people with better skinning skills finish it off, i'll do that if i cant figure out the right hand side

Looking very nice . I always thought it would be just be a matter of time before someone who has the balls and time to go for it . Nice one man! and keep up the good work. Shame that actual car isn't as amazing as its livery .

As XCNuse said, you could use Google Earth, but in my opinion that doesn't make it like the real car. So I think your decision to use the photo's from Honda's website, even if that means you have to use 1024 instead of 2048, is the right one. That way it'll make the car authentic to the real one.

I can't wait to see how you're getting along with the skin And if others think they can do it with Google Earth I wouldn't mind seeing them try

ok, its done..

i've changed a lot since the last one you saw... its now about 1000% more accurate and clear.. but maybe looks like a bit of a mess because of it..

its still not a perfect recreation of the real life livery.. and ingame the lighting can blur the detail a bit..

anyway, here's a final screen shot... i'll release it in a bit just want to make sure its got no glaring mistakes..

and does it look better than the other pics i've posted...? am worried that i might have ruined it a bit..

ok here it is! The logo is smaller and more in proportion (hope its ok now)

i'm still not happy with the right hand side, but i guess i've kept you guys waiting long enough

i'll probably update it in the future..maybe even put on the pledges and make Rubens' car

anyway its been tidied a bit more...and put into 2048!

If you look on Master Skinnerz, you'll find a kit to make skins with. In it is a black mask. Put that on your skin, and it'll cover up the messy bits!

Also, resizing a skin to 2048 AFTER you've made is pointless. If you made it at 1024, leave it at 1024.

yeah i figured out the 2048 thing just now..though the Honda logo and some small bits were done in 2048


reading through the master skinnerz site it seems people like skins in 1024 after all.. i'll upload the 1024 version too

as for the black mask, i made the skin on GIMP because i dont have photoshop.. so my computer is currently trying to eat itself opening a psd file in gimp
