You ever consider getting a 165 Opty Jakg? You'd prob be able to get ~close to the same OC as your 3700 if you get a good stepping, plus there so cheap now.

I'm prob gonna do a C2D build if/when the price drops really do materialize. Hopefully a nice 3Ghz E63/6400 + the usual goodies. (My 4800 stepping isn't particularly good, and my ram doesn't OC too well)
yup, dual core is on the list, but so is new ram, a laptop, and a car...

Opty 165's are great buys, but in the UK you NEED to order from eBay to not get a CCBWE, and thats £120

Im also looking into a DFi
Haha, this is my first post in the LFS forum. Anyways..this is my rig:

firstly, your HDD is NOT 160 Mb (seeing as LFS along is more than that), "SoundMax" is integrated, and 2 CPU's? sounds more like Hyper Threading to me
oops GB , long day

Looked in my dxdaig thing and it says ' pentium 4 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
My computer is old so the specs don't matter But it does run LFS well enough. I'm more interested in photos of people's wheel/monitor/chair/pedal setup than the inside of a computer (how boring.)

here's mine:

its the same one nova00 posted a pic of right above my post. Made for the 360 but MS just released a wireless adapter for the PC. Unfortunately the drivers still need an update, FF is not supported in LFS just yet.

me want

3700 @ 3.07 GHz, 1 GB DDR400 (its TCCD, should run at DDR 606, but my mobo is screwed) and a 7950GT
To be fair, you haven't a bad system jakg!

My machine:

AMD Athlon XP3000+ (Downclocked to 2800+ for stability!)
1GiB RAM (512MiB GEIL PC3200 + 2x256MiB Samsun PC2700)
80GiB HD
nVidia Geforce 6800GT
Onboard Sound
AOC 7V 17" Monitor
CD Player as speakers (the best bit!)

So dont you go complaining!

And to top if all off, i've been away from LFS for a few months, and will be for atleast another 4 - this desk i'm using now isn't stable with a wheel, and the CRT has to sit at an odd angle to fit on it, so its pretty much totally undriveable!
seriously, get rid of it FIRST.

Safe Mode + AVG (/Nod32) = Cure
