Alfa 156 Turbo For Sale
OK it's a sad day but it's time. My pride and joy, the Alfa 156 with Autodelta turbo conversion, brembo 4 pots, eibach suspension kit and 17" GTA wheels, has to go.

I'm saddled with debt and so for the next couple of years I'm gonna be driving round in a diesel. Should save me £100 per month!

The upshot is the Alfa is available to a very lucky buyer. I'm not expecting ridiculous money for this car. I know that the mods don't really add that much value in reality. I'd say the car was worth £2500 in standard form. The turbo conversion cost over £3k including a slightly taller 5th gear. The wheels are about £250 each as new and two of them are brand new and unmarked. The other two are a little bit scraped. It's got very new Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres which cost £130 a pop! The Brambo four pot calipers and grooved discs are £1000 worth of kit. The Eibach springs are progressive rated and so not too harsh for road use.

This car has never seen a race track. The turbo brings power up to around 200bhp with plenty of mid range torque. An EGT guage has been fitted for safety. This car has full leather interior, is a 98 (S) 1.8 Twin Spark.

I'm looking for around £3500 for this car but may negotiate if I think you will look after her. She's grey and the only external mod are clear side repeaters.

So, in summary, all this car - leather, turbo, 17" GTA alloys, Brembos, double wishbone suspension for only £3500! How can you miss it?

Any questions please post here or even call me on 07798 818553.

I've got a mate who might be interested, I'll send him the link.

Gonna give her a nice spruce up this weekend. Clean up the Brembos and the alloys and take some nice piccies. Should have something up by Monday weather permitting.

Yep - posted on Alfa.net and alfaaowner. Also a post on the Easytrack site where there are a few alfa nuts that know of me. It's so specialist I don't really see the point of advertising on autotrader. Think I'm just gonna have to be patient and wait for the right buyer to come along.

Side repeaters look excellent mate.
Gave her a clean this weekend but ran out of light befrore taking the photos. Hope to get them up soon.
OK I've spoken to Monza Sport in West Sussex. I'm taking the car to them a week on Saturday to try and thrash out a deal to get them to sell it for me. They are up for it in principle so the car should be available to view there in about two weeks time. I will confirm when it is there.
Monza sport?? i work there i look forward to seeing it
OK I really am going to try and sell this car now. I'm just doing too much mileage. Here's a website I built to show the car off.

Already bought a Civic 1.5 VTEC-E. 44mpg at 75mph!! All I do is sit on the M25 in traffic everyday. Plus I've got my Golf if I want a mad hack. It's even quicker than the Alfa - very heaavily modded.

The figure was from the manual. I haven't tested it

"shame its an alfa" - I never understand that.
Somone from an Alfa forum just offered me £!700. I'll not let it go at that but I will consider slightly more reasonable offers.
Good luck!
Alfa's feel more rewarding to keen drivers. The head might say 'why', but the heart says 'YES'
I think your problem is people aren't interested in buying a (in the insurers eyes) heavily modified FWD turbo 4 pot that only produces 200 bhp when there are so many faster standard and TBH more satisfying, as well as more economical cars around for the money. ebay would probably shift it at about 2k at a guess if you're desperate to move it.

You're right and I always new that would be the case. I sold it on ebay in the end for £1700. Damn it felt fast from the passenger seat! Oh well - it had to go
I hate the danish taxes... Here, that beauty would probably cost 10k

...And then the politicians wonder why so many unsafe, unreliable and polluting cars are still on the danish roads. Morons. Paying 180% of the cars value in taxes before being able to pay £100 for at set of license plates... Then, you'll get taxed with £200+ each year just to own it!

I have wondered how this is as you are also part of EU as we are, tax should be then same and Finland has got notes from EU too as here car taxes have been really high, but mostly it has been when importing car from other EU country.

Now here is big discussions going on how whole car taxing system is going to be changed, sounds like they would like to get old cars out from roads and people buy more new cars, all because it would be more friendly to enviroment illepall
Making car pollutes like hell, if I drive with my old car something like 5000km in a year (car is my hobby, I really don't need one), if I get new car it will take something like 30 years for it to be more friendly to enviroment, because of making one is so bad for enviroment. 30 years, but that is much older than my old car and they seem to plan that cars are getting replaced faster than now, maybe between 5 years, sounds very suspicious to me.

With S1 license can i go on S2 hosts?(but only drive S1 cars)????????

Made me read the thread after you bumped it! I want pictures of this alfa

No, you won't be able to do that.

You can only connect to S1 hosts (and demo hosts) with a S1 licence. With a S2 license you can connect to S1/S2/demo hosts.

only if the server has only s1 cars set.
